The Greater Good. Their music is full of melting heartache and relentless self discovery which forms into painstakingly soulful vocals, transporting guitars and infectious rhythms, The Greater Good was sparked in the depths of Manchester. Having journeyed from north and south of the UK they were fused together in 2021 and have already received huge support from BBC 6 Music, Radio X, BBC INTRO, Earmilk, Spotify.

To pigeon hole the Greater Good and their sound is difficult, but what is obvious is the compelling energy and passion that is delivered in their irresistible music. Big Pharmer is an original alt space rock four-piece combo from Barrow-in-Furness and Ulverston made up of former members of bands such as Paloma Cafe, Girlfriend & A Korma, Interceptor 6, The Smashers & The Clementines.

Big Pharmer is: Bernie Pharmer is on drums and vocals, Mike Pharmer on keyboards, Mark Pharmer is on bass and vocals and Gary Pharmer on guitar and vocals.

“Music is one of the last real forms of honest, truthful expression, in a world beset by control, constant lies & ennui,” said Gary. “Big Pharmer is project of fun, powerful musical energy and is a safe place where stories can be told.”

Expect a concoction of Nuggets style psychedelia mixed with robust 90s shoegaze wrapped up in a contemporary blanket of lyricism, cynicism that intends to blow the other isms (sexism, classism, racism, ageism to name a few) out of the water.

Big Pharmer encourages its audience to wear all white at gigs and events as a form of a unified blank canvass where art, noise and visual projections can be served. ‎

Annual event will be a 'colourful' celebration of music champion's life A MUSIC venue has organised an annual celebration honouring the life of a music lover and supporter.

Yesterday was a sad day for all of us, Kara-Leigh should of been 30. Sending all of our love to KL's family and friends as always.

The BUMS crew did what they do best and arranged a get together in the sunshine 🥰

This Friday we are partying in honour of our beautiful Kara-Leigh ! Join us for the celebration of the year.

Doors will be open mid afternoon 3/4ish. Be prepared to get colourful :)

We will be streaming Gripper's set from wherever he happens to be in the world. Welcoming LP and Tif back on the decks following their killer Another Fine Fest set. are back to their home stage and our very own Hash & Hunny will have you bouncing.

The legend that is DJ Bernie Connor is travelling up from Liverpool alongside Ché Wilson & Motormouf.

We are raising money for Music Minds Matter (suggested donation £5 pay online or at the door and we have got collection buckets in the venue)

Set times TBA but expect on stage at 10, Hash & Hunny on the decks at 11 and Che and Motomouf finishing the night in style from 1.

This Saturday we are super excited to be bringing you a quality selection of B.U.M.S DJ's alongside a tasty selection of Cocktails.

We are back hosting the courtyard at AMIGOS the mexican for the 10 year celebration of Another Fine Fest.

The sound system is heavy and the tunes will be on point, as always, with this selection of legend DJ's.

We are open from 12pm-10.30pm.

It is with a sad heart but with many happy adventures that 2024 will be the last year of Amigos being an official AFF venue. Come down show your love for all of the amazing memories, artists, DJ's and parties we have created. Drink some cocktails and sample their selection of quality beers on tap and in cans.

The bar is open all day from 12 and their smiley, super friendly staff are ready to pour your perfect drink and enhance your party filled day.

Haven't quite processed what happened this last weekend..

Friday The Coast and Imperial Wax literally blew the roof off. What an amazing turn out of music heads and wonderful people you all added to the electricity in the building. Not sure how DJ Ste Tyson held it all together:)

Saturday well that's another story.... From the get-go at 1pm the club was buzzing DJ Squid 's Next Gen - The Future of Music event was insane. With bands and DJ's aged from 12 years old the talent was unreal. CONE BAND delivered the perfect opening set showing their skills and sounding awesome even missing a bassist, quickly followed by the super talented Paris-Ayo Corkill who put time aside to perform before appearing on the main town hall stage for ! The Deadheads continue to surprise with their serious talent at such a young age. We then all managed to join the massive crowds on Abbey Road to watch the once in a lifetime spectacle that was the ride out.. just WOW.

Following the break DJ Kainite took to the decks with a magical set followed by the The Gears, we haven't heard them since their support slot with Northern Threads and they are sounding quality, really tight, that practise is paying off - big time. Next up was DJ Miss Ranking P and the bar was bouncing all the way into the main room where the last band was ready to complete the live line up, absolutely smashed it (again)!

To finish off the night was the host, promoter, organiser and absolute legend DJ Squid. The whole club bounced all the way into the early hours with DJ Zion, more Squid and a little bit of Etch to finish the night off.

To say we are proud is an understatement the future of music, round here, is definitely buzzing and looking super bright. Thank you everyone 😍
