Happy New Year from all of us at VAT!

After lots of hard work behind the scenes, we are pleased to announce that rehearsals are now EVERY WEEK. We can't wait to get back into the band-room and take part in more awesome concerts where we've enjoyed really positive reactions from the audience.

After a cracking first year, it's time to do it all again!

This term will be the biggest yet with a concert in another incredible, internationally renowned venue.

As always we are a training band so we cater for people of all ages and abilities (including complete novices).

The first of the photos from our best gig yet have surfaced. We may have been small due to absences but we were mighty and had a sold out concert hall clapping along!

Dan (our MD and lead Tutor) is incredibly proud of what the band has achieved over the last year.

Onwards and upwards to even more exciting opportunities next term.

We’re looking forward to sharing the stage tomorrow with our friends at Glamorgan Music School and Capital Youth Music. It’s going to be mega!

Final rehearsals done for at RWCMD’s Stouzker Hall on Monday. Hope we see you there!

First time sharing the stage with our parent band. Absolutely wonderful to see so many friendly faces. Hopefully when we return to the bandstand there will be less wind!

Back towards the end of May the band had it's warmest gig to date on Barry Island flying the flag for Glamorgan Music School. Despite a few absentees, the band put on a fine show.

This Sunday, we return the same bandstand to share the stage with our parent band, Vale of Glamorgan Brass Band, as part of the Brassy Down the Island Festival.

In addition, next month will be super exciting as we are taking part in a concert at the Royal Welsh college of Music and Drama!

We can’t wait for this! It’s going to be awesome

We're so excited that the Training Brass Band will be playing at the Barry Island Bandstand on 28th May! Take a deck chair, buy an ice cream and enjoy the wonderful sounds of the Siglo Section and the Training Brass Band!

Whilst we are sad to have to cancel our second ever sit-down concert, we will planning future performances with full enthusiasm and look forward to what next term has to offer.

We’re really excited to be kicking off the concert for our friends at GMS. Come along to see us in action!

We have 2 fantastic concerts for you for the end of term! Tomorrow night sees our HS Choir and adults Choir - The O.K Chorale perform at the YMCA in Barry. £2 on the door, starts at 18:45. Next Wednesday sees our concert featuring Vale Associated Training Brass Band, Orchestra, Wind Band, Junior Guitar Group and Junior Choir at All Saints Church in Barry. 7pm start, £5 on the door. Hope to see lots of you there!

We’re starting up again for the half term this week. If you or your child would like to learn how to play brass or percussion in a fun, relaxed environment then we’re the band for you!

We're starting back on Tuesday Jan 17th!
