Such an exciting week and it’s only Tuesday!

Yesterday I sent off the finished images for the Dinas Powys WI calendar. The ladies were all fantastic and such a pleasure to work with. We had an absolute blast. I can’t wait to see it printed.

This morning I’ve been viewing some beautiful samples, a few of which will be added to my product range. They really are so gorgeous and I know they’re going to be very popular.
I’m very excited to add these to my existing product range.

Miss Amelia what just the most perfect little model today. So tiny and so beautiful.

I've had loads of enquiries over the past few weeks so I'm happy to announce that my limited edition Christmas sessions will be ready to book soon.
As always, I'll have a full set, not a backdrop, and this year the window will be returning.

🌟 Susan Receives Her Second Kidney Transplant, aged 80! 🌟

Mum of two, Susan, has shown that hope and resilience are powerful allies in the fight against polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

She received her first kidney transplant at 57, and while her surgeon estimated it might last about 10 years, Susan’s kidney exceeded expectations, lasting a remarkable 20 years!

In 2022, she returned to dialysis, but even then, her kidney function was strong enough for shorter sessions. Then, just two days before her 80th birthday, on June 14th of this year, Susan received her second kidney transplant at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. Her family joked she must be trying to avoid a party!

After only 12 nights in the hospital, Susan was back home, walking her dog twice a day, and rescuing animals - recently a swan and a hedgehog! 🪿🦔

Her new kidney is thriving, and her doctors are thrilled with her progress.

Every year, Susan’s family honour the donor of her first kidney, and now they will do the same for her second donor. For Susan, this transplant was the most extraordinary birthday gift, proving that age isn’t necessarily a barrier to receiving a life-changing transplant. 💖

True love isn't flowers or chocolates. It isn't lavish gifts or poems or fancy holidays.
True love is found in quiet moments like this; walking slowly across the sand, step for step, as husband and wife, adjusting to your new normal.
This wasn't a planned moment but it got me right in the feels and a little voice in my head (or maybe my heart) said 'that's what true love looks like'.
And it was beautiful.

As wedding photographers, we often spend a lot of time looking for just right the location and just the right light. We adjust the dress, we tweak the posing, we move the veil. We make sure that everything looks perfect in a bid to create a 'wow' shot. And whilst I love to get those shots, it's the perfectly imperfect moments like this which make my heart sing.

Throwback to this gorgeous shoot in France. A dream of a location to shoot in and a beautiful model.

I just love photographing the night sky, especially when there’s very little light pollution.

I tend to avoid having my photo taken but I love this one from Saturday. I was very sandy by the end of the day 😂

Every wedding I shoot is special but now and then, you get one that's extra special.
It was such an honour to photograph Jay and Rob's yesterday. I've known Jay for about twelve years after we became friends through the Guild Of Photographers. We've had some brilliant adventures during that time.
Two years ago, Jay was involved in a motorbike accident which very nearly claimed her life. Thanks to an incredible paramedic and an amazing medical team, she lived to tell the tale. She really is miraculous.
Yesterday was a celebration of pure love and triumph over adversity and I'm so glad I got to play a part in it.
Jay and Rob have most definitely got the 'in sickness and in health' part covered, and now they deserve nothing but a lifetime of happiness.

So today’s wedding venue is something else 😍

Getting a head start on the wedding prep for tomorrow. First things first, charge allllllll the batteries.
I like to have 4 batteries for each camera just to be absolutely certain I’m not going to run out of power.

Designing wedding albums is one of my favourite things to do. I can't wait to get this one back.

After 4 years and 4 months of successfully avoiding it, Covid finally got me on Friday. I’m just grateful it was this weekend because things get super busy from next weekend on.
