Actress Melanie Walters, who portrays Stacey’s mam Gwen in hit BBC show Gavin & Stacey, was spotted in Barry earlier today, getting ready to start filming for the last ever episode, which will air on Christmas Day later this year.

Writer James Corden announced that he was “off to Barry Island” earlier this week, for the next seven weeks, where he’ll be filming the Gavin & Stacey finale.

Earlier this year the former US talk show host confirmed that him and co-creator Ruth Jones had penned one final episode of the smash hit BBC comedy series.
