Computer club enjoyed using “Indi” a robotic car. They were problem solving, working together, tinkering and sequencing to create block codes using the coloured mats to control Indi. #school #lovelearnpray #love2learn #catholic #education #afterschool #club #computing #robot
Year 2 took part in a Titanic drama workshop. They found out about the different classes onboard, the chronological events of the disaster and investigated fault, blame and factors that contributed to this being such a tragic event. The children listened to music played by the band onboard the Titanic. Herons had a gymnastic lesson for PE. 🏃♀️🤸🏽 The children had to balance on big body parts ensuring they kept their balance still for 5 seconds. We warmed up by linking previous years balancing skills dish, arch and pike. These balances are called patch balance. The 5 big body parts were back, front, side, shoulders and bottom. This was new learning for the children. On our mats we practiced them all and then mirrored a patch balance and provided feedback to one another of what was good and what could have been even better.
