What a night! A fantastic turnout of just over 100 people who joined in the fun of the Odiham and Hook Rotary Club charity race night. Good to see friends from the Rotary Groups from Basingstoke and Deane, Basingstoke Lodden also Hook Lions. Great work by the Friends of Mayhill school on fantastic food and by the Bramshill District Scout team that ran the race night. Plus the work over the last 3 months by our Rotary team. Over £2000 has been raised and will be shared between Mayhill school for iPads and Sightsavers an international charity that carries out crucial eye operations in third world countries.

Great new project in Hook Junior School have just taken some Tomato Plants over but they need more vegetable plants so if you have spare please take them over to the school office.
Over the Easter break we were pleased to received our new Polytunnel that we were able to purchase with a generous grant from Tesco. The children are excited to start planting, pottering and pruning! (And the polytunnel allows them to enjoy this activity all year round.) We would be grateful for any seedlings and/or plug plants (fruits, flowers and/or vegetables) that you can donate to the school to get us started!

🚨Breaking news! 🚨
Alan Titchmarsh along with others have backed a letter to The Times launching the start of our 'Fund for the Future' Endowment fund.
More people than ever before are discovering the wonderful world of Gilbert White and the museum here in Selborne, but increasing costs is putting a considerable strain on our resources. This fund will ensure that we can continue our valuable work with thousands of school children each year to inspire journeys in the natural world and carry on Gilbert White's legacy for many years to come.
