Harman Oliver Landscapes
Landscape project build specialising in garden structures for your outdoor space Landscape Contractors
Back at previous client today for some smaller jobs around the garden but great to see them using the area we created 3 yrs ago, now fully furnished looking good 👌🏼
Fencing, but a cut above the rest….
This replacement fence has all been to cut fit each space and put together in situe with every piece of wood you see having been cut! Every cut has been retreated to ensure it’ll last longer than its predecessor, all done within a couple of days and the old fence taken away too ✅
Message us if you have any fencing requirements, from standard panels to something a little more outside of the box 😎
A trip to Hampton Court Palace Festival last week meant a bit of time off, sort of.
As a member of I spent some time on the APL stand offering landscape advice to the public and met some lovely people and also got a chance to peruse the fantastic gardens on show. Having not been before a lovely time was had despite the typical British weather! Looking forward to spending more time helping out at next years festival.
A recent garden room build including bar and engineered wood flooring.
From Dunster House Ltd this is the Terminator!! This type of structure is fairly straightforward to build but if you don’t fancy doing it yourself we are at hand to do it for you.
The client purchased this one direct from Dunster House and we came along to build it for them. Plus we also laid some engineered wood flooring over insulation to ensure it’s nice and toasty in the colder months 🔥🙏🏻
Concreting in the sunshine.

Our latest project is really starting to take shape now
I managed to get back to some work we completed in a lovely garden over the winter this week. The clients gardener has applied manure and planted the borders we created being a low level bund and around a circular Millboard deck. Once established this will look lovely. Progress, love it. I particularly love the multistem birch trees with their beautiful bark.
From the starting point to a bit of mess to something we can call progress, all in two weeks. Lots more to come for our latest project in Little London, Hampshire. If only we could have a few days off from the rain 😭
A new project we have started recently we are currently at the stage where we make a huge mess! The dig out and groundwork phase with circa 40t of material being removed to start with. Even the sun was out for a few hours!! Spring has sprung 😎☀️🌳🪴
This job will incorporate natural limestone paving, oak sleeper beds, pergola, lighting, steel edging, pathways, sauna and a kitchen garden area - all lovingly constructed to the required specification and design.
So, we won an award!!
As a Marshalls accredited landscape contractor we are eligible to enter the Marshalls awards and we won for this block paved driveway from last year with driveline drainage channel, lighting and raised border 👌🏼
Best small driveway under 70m2 in the southern region.
Contact us if you’re ready to get the ball rolling on your next landscape project 😎 ☀️ 🌳 🪴 🌧️ 👍🏻
The challenge - to build a circular deck from rectangular materials whilst demonstrating best practice build methods! (As always)
Complete!!
This Millboard deck is on a timber frame supported by concrete legs. We have also used a clever solution to allow air to flow around the timber without compromising the aesthetics of the finished article meaning it will not remain damp after rainfall and ultimately rot. With the use of deck tape on top of the frame as well these measures ensure it will last for many years to come ✅
Garden office build. The ‘dominator’ from Dunster House, concrete base and electrical install.
A great review from a recent project in Basingstoke 👌🏼
Finally got this project over the line this week. Started back in November we very nearly had it complete by Christmas, just the finishing touch, a stainless steel post and toughened glass install, all made to measure.
Our clients were lovely throughout the process and we hope they will enjoy their new garden space for years to come. All works carried out to APL standard/best practice.
This project was designed by Jane Jordan Gardens and consisted of enhanced grain Millboard, limestone paving and slatted screens with some reclaimed sleepers thrown in for good measure and all within the original estimated cost.
If you have plans to improve your garden space and need someone to help make your ideas reality please feel free to contact us to take the next step. Our initial landscape surveys start at just £50+vat.
This week we have got stuck into a new project in Old Basing. So far we have removed a large raised border with mature planting, set out and prepped for a circular sunken millboard deck and built a bund with the soil removed from the border. To come is the deck build, woodchip pathway and slatted screening above the existing fence……we have now officially had enough of the rain 🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌨️⛈️🌧️🌦️🌥️⛅️🌤️☀️🌈☔️
Teaming up with Masons Trees and Woodland Management this week for some winter work! Hedge removal and fence er****on in the cold fresh air! Materials from Dan @ Phoenix Fencing Supplies Ltd
Wishing all our clients, past present and future, a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year!
Pic for attention……our favourite of the year, this whopper of a gazebo ❤️

And thats us all wrapped up for the Christmas break!
Recently we have been working on a project in Basingstoke consisting of limestone paving, Siberian larch screens and a raised millboard deck.
Still to come is a stainless steel balustrade and balusters with tempered glass panels to finish the front aspect but we will return in the new year to finish.
This project is for a truly lovely young family who have looked after us really well throughout with copious amounts of tea, sausage rolls and doughnuts! Makes it all worth while when you know your work will be appreciated for years to come 👌🏼
Thanks to B&M Fencing Ltd for supplying nearly all the materials needed and to Jane Jordan Gardens for recommending us to build their design.
Peace and love to all ❤️✌🏼 🎅🏼 🎄

Very nearly finished on our latest project. In total a shade under 3 weeks for two of us to remove the old pergola, make good the paving and build the new gazebo structure. This one is made from larch and measures 8m x 6m. It is sat onto granite saddle stones with western red cedar shingles for the roof. All that’s left to do is to install the wood burner once it arrives.
If you are thinking of adding a garden structure to your outdoor space feel free to contact Ollie for advice and quotations. We aim to offer a solution for every budget
*Cost for this circa £24,795 inc vat*
A short update on our gazebo project. After a week of glorious British weather we are very nearly finished but not quite! Check out these beautiful western red cedar shingles we are using on the roof 😍
More next week when we will hopefully have completed this huge structure 👌🏼
Happy weekend people 👌🏼
Our current project which is a gazebo build. First off was the removal of the old pergola and wisteria then the repair work to the paving where the pergola was stood. We have built the complete framework in a few days and now ready next week for the roof. This will look really impressive when it’s complete and is something our client can use all year round with the addition of a log burner🔥
Looking forward to more on this next week and hopefully the crappy weather holds off 😩
🍂 🍁 🌧️ ☀️ 💨
On one of the hottest weeks of the year the finishing touch was added to this ‘pergola with a roof’ in
