Happy World Book Day from Little Peep Cakes

To celebrate World Book Day I wanted to share my daughter's favourite story when she was very little 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. As a mum, I have such fond memories of reading this story to her and now she is older and at school, my daughter Lily loves to read it to me and we enjoy reading the story together.

I loved the book so much and just wanted to sculpt this fond reading memory in cake! I entered the Display of Cupcakes category in Cake International, the World's largest Sugar Craft and Cake decorating show.

Taking part in this amazing competition and being awarded a Merit for my original concept creating this cake display was such an exciting, rewarding experience.
