Good Morning,

It’s Throw around Friday

It’s Friday and the security team’s safety briefing was an early one.

Let’s see what tips hit the whiteboard..

One for parents

Be Sure to talk with your child about stickers.

These new stickers are calming stickers that almost puts them in a relaxed body state.

To ensure the teacher is not attaching stickers to the inside of their clothing to calm them within school hours.

Also ask if there is good air circulation within the classrooms rooms.

Ensure your extra carful in open spaces of handbags and personal belongings. If your Christmas shopping next week, keep a close eye on them and to wear bags to the front of you.

Pre order taxis or discuss lifts for your journey home from Christmas dos this festive season to keep you safe.

If you have to gather evidence for any given reason, keep it safe and away from your premises.
A safe location that you trust is secured..
Record, monitor then log it.

Never trust just one partner to control your housing options or where your both will be located, do this as a open discussion as a couple incase of any foreseen problems arise.

Big tip
Always double check any document your presented, take it away then read it. Never impulsively sign because they threw in a business trip with a mediocre bar and a few office company logo goodies. Think logical, be smart.

Invest in good quality security protection for all your personal devices and business devices. Keep changing passwords to stay more secure especially your online presence.

Also to the hard working lorry drivers before setting off check locks are secure and that you check the content before you set off.

Don’t drink and drive, stay home on your throne.

Little tip - Hide your keys before you drink, that way your less likely to want to drive. Infact your spend your time looking for them, to then think - What am I looking for. You will forget.

Have a fantastic day.

Good Morning,

The security team are going to run through a few helpful gadgets to keep your home safe.

Camera doorbells are a great addition to any household.

Activity from this can either help with security situations or can be helpful when knowing who is stood behind your door. The footage can be downloaded straight to your devices within seconds.

Indoor pet cams

Now I know your thinking why a pet cam actually they have other uses too,

For instance, leave the small camera within an area of the home and monitor on the go. Live feeds to your residence at any given time.
These also have apps be mindful of who has access.

Your WiFi Network - check who is attached any you don’t recognise? Boot them off.

Also have something that does not necessarily need a server to run from.

There are many options available online.
Searching may take a few minutes, but your be glad you did incase the WiFi connection is down for any given reason.

Think Old school gadgets, The back up that provides that reliable source when needed.

Chain or a latch / Home alarm systems.

Fitting these actually helps with extra security for the front entrance to the home. Many companies offer their very own security houses systems a route many go down because of lack of knowledge in wiring the systems.

These tips are very basic stuff but very efficient as the team think this can be affordable to achieve for anyone.

- Ensure School railings are checked often for any unwanted advertising & QR Codes appearing.

Security & Safety Tip.

When out in public spaces and cities wear a replica of your expense watch. Don’t brag, avoid pics with it on unless for private use. Avoid unwanted attention.

This will not only safe your life but will save you being put into a hostage situation

Invest in basic survival kits and blankets to go in the vehicle you commute in, if harsher weather conditions are alerted.

Safety Tip

Ensuring a function is altered on kids iPhones for contact sharing to be disabled for security reasons.

Going out with a full battery on your mobile device is a good way to keep safe. Ensure to ask kids before they go out.

Great tip from our Asset Company

Make sure you own the land that your house is on if you purchased it., Ensure you know what a loading title is and that you know unless you own the land beneath the brickwork it isn’t actually yours. Be Smart

Good Morning,

The security team was going to discuss security levels today.

But the team will cover this topic tomorrow afternoon after Throw around Friday briefing.

Today the team are going to discuss,

Why dog handlers are a great asset to a security company.

Most security companies source handlers to increase work projects and to gain an advantage over other security firms.

It is wise to get as many contacts from dog handlers your work alongside as they are great assets to have to enhance the company security level within your duties.

This also ensures that the guarding is done at a excellent security level if the K9 and the handler is brought in.

This not only works to deter thieves but less likely a targeted business.

Most security unit owners will either request a dog handler to guard the property or security to work alongside them for different purposes.

The dog handlers are used at some events for drugs or other activities this helps determine what’s being brought on premises and can be acted upon quickly.

We could of went on a lot more, but it’s only Thursday!

Good Morning,

The security teams have been up early

All holding a coffee in their hand.

Its Throw around Friday that means safety briefing…

Let’s see what hit the whiteboard ..

First up - Icy weather on the horizon

Listen to any alerts about any icy road conditions that maybe worth avoiding in the next few weeks in certain areas incase of accidents or lack of grit in rural areas. Expect delays

Ensure as a business owner you have important documents in paper form not just digital incase of emergencies.

Perhaps an easy to grab system put in place.

Safety tip -

Little teens with their first house key or Venerable women perhaps on a night out.
⬇️
look into requiring a keychain to apply to a key that is actually a self defence tool. Helps with awareness.

Security protocols should be tightened
especially in public spaces.

Incase of any incidents arising during the festive season.

Look out for the most vulnerable relatives you may have this winter.

Good Morning,

The Security team are going to discuss

How to handle and defuse a situation that could happen on your security shift.

No one really knows how to handle that situation until it arises.

This is where you have to be ready to be professional and calm.

Situation one ☝️

Two ladies fighting over a sun bed on their holiday, family one has already placed their bags aside their beds.

How will you handle this with your colleague ..

Easy one - Teams Response

Each colleague pulls the families aside listening to the account, then offer to help resolve the issue with family 2 at reception and offer complementary drinks for the troubles to both families and tell reception you offered this to some how compensate their mistake of double booking the beds.

But politely, professionally and calmly do not demand.

This will not only help by calming the two parties involved, it gets both colleagues engaging well with the families and able to defuse a heated argument.

The idea is not to charge in and navigate just your way, but to avoid conflict any further.

So finding a resolution is the key and being professional not letting egos slip in.

Being polite and not aggressive when approaching a situation also matters, it will lead to a better response in some cases.

Situation two ✌️

Someone is intentionally trying to wide you up and you are on shift..
What do you do ?

The teams response is ..

Tell a colleague to monitor the situation from afar.

Then insist they follow the rules of the venue and move away or you will get someone to es**rt them from the premises

Big tip

Do not do this yourself! Radio a member of security staff and note down the time of the incident

Then your colleague can es**rt the person out.

You should never handle someone winding you up because of anger and ego.

Either laugh it off and think they are an idiot in your head or get someone to intervene for you.

Do not let your ego get the better of you especially if you hold a badge.

Good Morning,

The security team discuss this Morning,

Why it’s a great ideas to have an invoice template made up for your employer if your a Self Employed security officer.

This is a great way to make your stamp and show your employer that you are efficient and already have an email template at the ready to invoice within the dates •.

This can be copied to a file either to your handset or computer.

Create a hard copy of the document, duplicate this and alter as you need ensuring you check each one you submit to a security company has been edited correctly.

Always make sure it represents you as an individual.

Has the correct information, as this is how you will get paid based on the hours you provide on the invoice.

As no one likes to chase up HR. Or update invoices as you did not submit one.

Full name
Full address of employer
Invoice hours worked
Bank details
Contact details

This is not only a great tool to have, it is also a great way to enable security shifts more easily and saves time in modern life of most today.

Have a great day.

Stay safe
