You find yourself browsing through Facebook when you see an invitation to a RPG night at Thirsty Meeples Bath, do you:

It’s Monday, which means we have a bunch of retired games available to buy. As you can see from Dovah Dave’s face the selection is something to behold.

This Sunday from 6pm we will be hosting this year’s hotly anticipated new game “Drags 2 Riches” from creator David Pettifer. It’s a deck-building push your luck card game that lets you unleash your inner drag queen and try to outshine your rivals by putting together a show stopping look and revealing it at just the right time. Lots of tension, lots of fun, not to be missed! 👑

Good news everyone! Our collection of games has gotten too big for our library, so every Monday and Thursday we will be selling preloved games, with new games available each week. So come and give a game a home today!

Help needed!

Hey Thirsty Meeples friends, so the UK’s main distributor of board games Asmodee UK has launched a new scheme to help support bricks and mortar stores.

We have a chance to be able to sell the second edition of 7 Wonders two weeks early in our café shops if, and only if, we have ten people respond to this post saying what their favourite wonder is and why. Please see provided banner image.

Sorry to ask this of you, but we do want the ability to take part in this new scheme. We are struggling right now and this would help.

We just need 10 replies to celebrate the launch of 7 Wonders Second Edition then, hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, Asmodee will give us the green light to sell copies early.

THE MEEPLES ARE MARCHING AGAIN!

TO ALL OUR THIRSTY MEEPLES FRIENDS,

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE GRADUAL REOPENING OF OUR CAFÉS, STARTING WITH OUR SHOPS FROM SATURDAY 4TH JULY AND THEN OUR CAFÉS FROM WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY.

FOLLOWING THE LATEST GOVERNMENT ADVICE, WE ARE READY TO SAFELY OPEN OUR DOORS AGAIN AND REUNITE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH THEIR FAVOURITE GAMES AND TO SHOW OFF THE NEW GAMES WE'VE BEEN ADDING DURING THE LOCKDOWN.

SHARING BOARD GAMES IS OUR PASSION, BUT KEEPING OUR TEAMS AND CUSTOMERS SAFE IS OUR PRIORITY. THAT’S WHY WE WILL BE MAKING SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OUR CAFÉ EXPERIENCE TO COMPLY WITH PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND MAKE SURE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WHEN VISITING. THESE INCLUDE:

• FULL TABLE SERVICE FOR BOTH GAMES AND FOOD & DRINK. (THIS MEANS THAT FOR TIME BEING ONLY OUR GAME GURUS WILL BE ACCESSING OUR GAME LIBRARIES)

• CASHLESS PAYMENTS AT TABLE

• INCREASED SPACING BETWEEN TABLES TO MAINTAIN PHYSICAL DISTANCING

• 24 HOUR QUARANTINE OF PLAYED GAMES

• BREAKS BETWEEN BOOKINGS TO FULLY CLEAN SURFACES

SOME THINGS MAY THEN FEEL SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TO BEFORE BUT WE ARE CONFIDENT YOU'LL STILL ENJOY AN AMAZING TIME AT THIRSTY MEEPLES.

Our café shops in Bath and Oxford will be closed from 5pm Saturday 21st March. They will remain closed until the current social distancing measures are lifted.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Our cafés in Bath and Oxford are open for the purchase of board games and the collection of on-line orders. Whilst the social distancing measures remain in place we are unable to accept bookings for use of the game libraries.

Both café's will be open daily 11am until 5:30pm for board game sales / collections only.

Our online store remains open with orders fulfilled as normal.
