The BEST way to minimize mental blocks and mental health struggles in gymnastics (or any sport) is to create a training environment that articulates clearly that the human matters more than scores, medals, scholarships, fame, or attention.
There is nothing wrong with being competitive and striving for huge goals.

But if there is a belief that those extrinsic goals are more important than the physical and mental health of the athletes long term, it's toxic.

Through verbal and nonverbal communication, and more importantly actions/habits, this message has to be broadcast loud and clear.
