Unfortunately as we age, we loose volume in our face and one of the first place to usually loose volume first is in the medial cheek area, causing a slight hang, causing the creases in our Nasiolabial area to become more apparent.

I tell all my clients, in fact not just with lip filler but with all treatments, trust the process.

Lip filler tends to be the mixed emotions:

💋 1st stage: immediately after: they are huge and bruised (as you can see in the above photo)
💋 2nd stage: what have I done? Swelling can remain for up to 2 weeks but usually subsides after 72 hours
💋 3rd stage: I love them. Usually, most of the swelling has gone, and bruising has gone
💋 4th and final stage: I need more! The swelling has completely gone, and you are left with a subtle enhancement

You have to ride the wave of emotion, unfortunately, and the safest way to build up your lips is slow and steady. Sorry, but there will be no putting in 2ml in one sitting here!

So this isn't my usual before and after 2 weeks 🤔

This shows the maintenance of anti-wrinkle injections 💉 , 12 weeks post treatment and not full movement is back but we maintain and treat to prevent these lines from fully coming back.

Now this could be pushed to even 16 weeks but the aim is to come back before your lines fully appear again - prevention is key.

I get alot of questions about what age is the time to get anti-wrinkle injections. Prevention is everything, genes vary, skin routines vary and lifestyles vary which means you cannot pin point a certain age. However, if you starting to see a fine line when your face doesn't move (static lines) , this would be the time to enquire... or if you have lines that appear that you dislike then enquire :)
