Must have bar experience; cocktail experience desirable, but not essential. Availability to work late nights and weekends though total weekly hours can be negotiable

Upstairs above the ale house you can find a well hidden, intimate magic show, called Krowdkeepers. Which is open to all and showing performances every Friday and Saturday evening from 8pm.

If that’s not enough magic, you’ll also find our unique magic bar below the pub too. Open every Thursday-Sunday from 7pm-3am!

Did you know Paul and Sarah have been landlords here at The Ale House and Sleight Bar for over 10 years!

They came to Bath in September 2013 after 3 years of running a restaurant down in Portland Marina, Dorset.

We asked Sarah her opinion on why people should visit The Ale House:

“The Ale House is like the meaning from home to home. In the locals words, The Ale Home. We are very lucky that we get to meet people from all walks of life. From the tourists during the daytime, to locals all throughout the day and night, it is a very friendly and welcoming place for all. We are lucky with our late licence and have built up a really great local community within the industry and late customers. Being a place where you can come, chill and enjoy a drink rather than at a club really works to our advantage and locals love how they can turn up and always know someone in the pub.”
