How excited were we to have the biggest shout out on by this morning! The lovely listeners did indeed crash our website!

We have wholeheartedly agreed with Chris’ long-time wish that if you win the lottery, #1 first thing you have to do is install a slide from your bedroom to a pool. And to prioritise the slide first, pool second!!

New shots from Tryst in The Hamptons. Proving that the autonomous style of a contemporary sculptural slide fits perfectly in a variety of architectural vernaculars. From super contemporary in Ontario, to traditional Hamptons style, Tryst serves up sculptural intrigue in both settings beautifully. For shrieks and giggles during the summer and visual interest long after the pool closes over the winter months, Splinterworks slides are to be enjoyed year-round for generations to come.

It’s that time of year! Autumnal colours reflected in the Tryst slide echo the beautiful surroundings of the Canadian landscape 🍁

We’re in Texas… shooting slides and mini movies. And yes, spoiler alert, of course Miles will end up going in fully clothed as per… watch this space!

In the Sydney coastal enclave of Curl Curl, have created a sanctuary-like property split into pavilions across three levels.

On the pool terrace on the middle level, were commissioned to install their first slide in Australia. A completely custom slide, designed so that it could curl back on itself and fit into a small footprint, in a split level garden, it echoes the natural palette of the holistic design of the home and landscape, and continues the resort atmosphere in the incredible surroundings. It remains safe to use in the sunshine with Splinterworks’ proprietary water-cooling system that uses cooling jets along the sliding surface and steps, mega jets at the top of the slide and internally water cooling the handrails to keep it safe in the Sydney sunshine.

Brace yourselves for the big daddy of all our slides… Tryst has landed in The Hamptons, and we are over the moon to hear the adults are enjoying it just as much as the kids 😜

How do we keep our slides cool in the summer? This is the number one burning question! We are constantly asked this, and with good reason - no one wants a burnt behind!
 
Our cooling design is fourfold:
 
First are the micro jets of water, that cool the entire sliding surface every 15cm apart, ensuring it stays constantly cool and slippy.  The jets also spray the steps, which keeps them cool and the strong grip tape ensure they are not slippery.

2 cooling mega jets at the top of the slide keep a fast pace lubricating and cooling the sliding surface.
 
Thirdly, we ensure the handrails are cool to the touch by circulating water through them internally.  This runs through the small internal handles on the steps, and the outer integrated handrail that runs along the entire slide. This water is all recycled through the swimming pool’s filter system.
 
Finally, the marine-grade polished stainless steel does not oxidise and dull down over time so will remain highly reflective for decades and, unlike brushed or painted metal, reflects the majority of solar energy meaning that it stays cooler than you might expect.
 
We install slides in some of the hottest climates in the world, and they are all designed to cool down to usable temperature in 15 seconds. Quick enough for even the most enthusiastic among us!
