Deadlift with @shacks_07 Here’s what you need to know ahead of Monday’s Workout of the Day 🏋️‍♂️ -Set up with your feet directly under your hips, shoulders in front of the bar and hands just wider your hips. -With your hip slightly higher than your knees, brace you lower back. -Bring your shoulders up with hips up at the same time, until legs are locked out- core engaged the whole time. -As you bring the bar back down, send the hips back, maintaining the lumbar curve of your spine. Member spotlight Meet: @rosieecox Rosie has been a member with us for 2 months, she came from another Box and has been doing CrossFit for around a year now. She was a keen marathon runner and injured her knee during her running training. She went searching for a way to build back up the strength in her legs she “found CrossFit and fell in love with it” Rosie loves the fact “ it’s not a chore to work out anymore”. She is an early riser and “loves getting out of the house first thing with the 6am crew, its been a great way to start to the day especially when working from home.” “Ive got far stronger and discovered Olympic lifting, i'm also starting to find a gymnast in me I didn’t know was there! Rosies favourite part about the gym is the people! “I love the social aspect and community at the gym - it feels like I’ve known everyone for years in just a couple of months - basically a 2nd family 🧡” Its also Rosie’s Birthday today, a massive Happy Birthday from all of us at - keep on smashing it🎂

💥CrossFit Bath is moving to new premises💥 We are excited to officially announce that CrossFit Bath is moving to new premises. The new location is approx 5000sqft of training space, which will allow us to expand our services and enable us to share the amazing CrossFit methodology with more people. We have a lot to do to get the new box ready, but we aim to move by the end of May. Members keep your eyes peeled for an email detailing the steps of the move, as well as a date for a “town hall” discussion, where we will answer all your questions. We would like to take this time to thank Bath City Football club for their support over the last few years and during this transitionary period. @ed.mason1 “It’ll be sad to leave Twerton Park behind. The Club has been a great home for us and have always been helpful and collaborative. Our time there has enabled us to build the business to the point that we’re now moving to bigger premises in Oldfield Park and so can allow more local people to benefit from the unique CrossFit approach to embracing a healthier and fitter lifestyle”. The hang power snatch with @pull3n Here’s what you need to know: - take that Hand position wide so when your standing up with the bar, it sits in crease of your hip with your arms straight. - hinge at the hips, allow the bum to go back and shoulders to go in front of the bar. ➡️Weight in the mid foot. - be patient as you stand, then be aggressive in the jump, shrug when the torso is vertical to the ground. - pull under the bar with speed and aggression, landing those feet in a partial squat position 🏋️

🏋️‍♀️Weightlifting Wednesday🏋️‍♀️ In today’s piece we focus on the hang clean. Here’s what you need to know: - Hinge➡️ weight on your heels ➡️ shoulders over the bar. - Take your time and be patient on the pull. - Get tall before you drop under the bar. - Bring your elbows through nice and fast at the same time as you move your feet. - Stand it up and reset. Get the basics right and the weight increase follows, enjoy those barbells!
