We will also be running free childrens art activities on the Sunday (29th) in our studio. Drop in any time between 1.30pm- 3.30pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

After School and Saturday Art Classes for Ages 7-11, 10- 14 and 14+ with GCSE/A level guidance. Held at Bath Artists' Studios, Upper Bristol Road, Bath, BA1 3AJ.

Children will have the opportunity to explore lots of areas of art and design in a real artists’ studio centre- drawing, painting, textiles, clay, print and more.

Ages 7-11 Summer Art Club- Pop Art Day! The children took inspiration from Andy Warhol prints and Lichtensteins ceramic sculptures (in the last pics). We learnt about drawing ellipses, monoprint and pottery techniques to create these bright and fun Pop Art creations.

The class mostly has a focus on drawing/ painting techniques such as sketching, line drawing, acrylics, watercolours, illustration, perspective, proportion etc. We then finish each term with a 3D/ craft based project such as clay, print, mosaic, textiles, sculpture, graffiti. A great class for older children to develop their artistic skills, have fun and make new friends. Also perfect for GCSE prep and art scholarship portfolios.

What a lovely time we had last weekend making animal and dinosaur masks at the BRLSI’S BRILLIANT DISCOVERY WEEKEND! We even had Rex the dinosaur come join in! Thanks for coming everyone and making it such a brilliant weekend and thanks to all the hard work to everyone who made the event happen 🥳 🎈🎶 🐨 🦖

🎂🥳 Let's celebrate! Join us for BRLSI’s 200th Birthday Bash this weekend at Queen Square, Bath! Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June. A family-friendly weekend celebration, jam-packed with free science and crafting activities, live music and performances, exhibits, open-air games, refreshments and free workshops 🎈🎶

We will be running free crafting activities, creating amasing animal or dinosaur masks. There will be lots of crafty items on hand to help decorate your mask- use felt, foam, gems, stickers, and colorful colouring to create a unique creation to wear over the weekend. This free drop in art activity will take around 20 minutes to complete and is best suited to accompanied children aged 4+.

Mask making activity timings:
Saturday 29th June - 10am- 12pm or 1.30pm- 3pm Sunday 30th June- 11am- 12.30pm and 2pm- 4pm

A few more creations from our Spring 2024 Kids holiday art classes. Taking inspiration from trees and David Hockneys blossom paintings. The children used painting, drawing, printing, clay and sewing skills to create their brilliant art work.

A few more creations from our 10+ after school art class. We usually try to end each term with a craft or 3D project. Last term, we ended the landscape topic by creating a felted landscape using needle felting techniques, sometimes described as 'painting with fibres'. We love the finished results!
