Running 101 | How to Improve Your Sprint Speed in 7 Easy Steps

1) Build strength with gym workouts with exercises that focus on core, weights and squats

2) Tighten up your form by keeping your knees high, drive your arms back as well as forwards for momentum, while keeping shoulders and arms as relaxed as possible

3) Try plyometric exercises

4) Check your strength symmetry - humans are asymmetrical so over time our muscles become more dominant. Test where your muscles are weaker and train to add balance

5) Stay relaxed (easier said than done...)

6) Hill sprints - they may not be the funnest but they're an old reliable

7) Work on your coordination and balance
