A recent installation we did for Lyric Theatre Belfast
We replaced the existing fluorescent lighting system with a new LED alternative, added lighting in darker areas, rerouted & added to the steel conduit containment system and added emergency lighting.

The above gives this store a new lease of life aiding the costume crew in their roles going forward.

BEWARE...

While out at a domestic call we were asked to have a look at the below system which was installed towards the end of the ROCs grant scheme by a contractor that obviously cared more about quantity than quality.

On visual inspection, numerous potential risks were identified and highlighted to the client. Unfortunately for them the system is long past any sort of warranty & the installer is no longer trading meaning any repairs would come from their own pocket 💰.

When choosing your installing contractor for a Solar Pv system be sure to choose a contractor that puts quality above everything else 🧠.

The importance of electrical testing?

Below you can see an older style domestic fuse board. Now to the untrained eye this may look normal/acceptable.

Unfortunately not. There is an additional radial circuit leaving the 2nd fuse carrier which is not suitable for the sizing of the protective device. Giving the potential for a fire down the line 🔥..

We see this far too often in domestic properties where no consideration of safety has be given ✖️

We recently carried out the following repair job on behalf of Clover Energy Systems.

On the left is 3 Inverters which were installed roughly 8 years ago. Unfortunately for the client 2 of these needed replaced.

We were happy to help and installed the Hybrid inverter with the battery storage system on the right.

Needless to say the client was more than happy with the end result.

We recently carried out an LED lighting upgrade in the " Second time around" store on behalf of Mison Construction Ltd.

On site we replaced all existing conventional lighting with new LED alternatives.

We do consumer unit upgrades 🎉

We got a call out concerning a main fuse that had blown 💥.

The utilities provider replaced the fuse but recommended that the board be updated.

Upon inspection on site we noticed several faults - Broken ring Circuits, no rcd protection on any circuit, over loaded Circuits & by passed double pole switches. All of which could lead to 🔥.

We upgraded the consumer unit to a steel clad version, rcbos on every circuit and repaired the faults.

Leaving the installation safe and up to the current standard of the wiring regulations ( BS7671 ).
