Over the next couple of weeks, I would like to start introducing you to members of the team here at Empatheyes, starting with our highly experienced training consultant, Professor Kathryn Saunders.

Kathryn is a Professor of Optometry and Vision Science at Ulster University. She established the paediatric specialty within the Centre for Optometry and Vision Science Research. Her team undertakes world-recognised, impactful research that focuses on improving our understanding of paediatric vision and the visual needs of children, and then translating this research activity into more accessible and targeted eyecare for children. To this end, her team has strategically developed links with clinical specialists and international centers of research excellence, including those in the National Health Service.

Kathryn is an Empatheyes Ltd eye clinician and, in addition to offering visual impairment training to our clients, she recently played a crucial role in obtaining CPD accreditation for our Health and Social Care training sessions. We're very fortunate to have Kathryn as part of our team, and we're confident that her expertise and insights will continue to drive us forward as we strive to offer the most effective visual impairment awareness experience in the world.
