⚫️🔴2016 PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🔴⚫️

2016s were out last weekend for a game against larne in the fonacab development league.

The lads knocked the ball about really well and all had plenty of fun.

Player of the week award went to Joseph who was outstanding at the back with his usual last ditch defending to help keep the scores down at our end. Joseph loves a tackle and has been passing the ball about really well recently. Another kid who never misses a session and gives it his all everytime he pulls on the jersey.

2016s were out at falls park for a good battle with St. Marys

Boys all put in a great shift with a keen focus on passing the ball. Boys done a great job and had plenty of fun.

POTW went to our shot stopper Caleb. Caleb is a beast between the sticks and has really stepped up as our #1 goalkeeper. Caleb's shot stopping ability is next to none and he is working on his distribution which has also came on leaps and bounds. Keep up the great work young fella 💪.

⚫️🔴2016 PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🔴⚫️

2016 boys were out on saturday morning for a game against Belfast Celtic.

The game was full of quality with many great performances from both sets of players. POTW went to Francsisco who has been exceptional all season. Great player with plenty of strength and loves a shot on goal. Francisco has the nickname young De Bruyne due to how he runs the middle of the park!

Well done to Francisco and the rest of the lads who have been improving as the season has went on.

2016s were playing at the falls park on saturday against a very strong ballysillan side.

The lads attitude and commitment has been improving week by week and starting to show with results.

POTW went to Brandon Mulligan who was everywhere in midfield and defence. Brandon had a bad health scare with meningitis a few months back and is starting to get back to his very best!

Other notable mentions go to Iollan delaney with a couple of goals and young sean boyle who has continued his streak of finding the back of the net also.

⚫️🔴2016 PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🔴⚫️

2016 boys were out at falls park on saturday morning for a really tough game against a strong Ardoyne side.

The boys all dug deep and didnt let the heads drop once. Some smashing performances in there too but our standout player this week was young Sean Boyle.

Sean has moved in from the wing and found himself up top with his finishing getting better and better the more he plays there. Sean doesnt miss a session and does extra work outside of the club with Total football academy NI which is really starting to pay dividends. Would highly recommend anyone to check them out.

Sean is always the youngest player on the pitch with one of the biggest hearts and never ever gives up!

Well done young fella keep it going!

🔴⚫2016 PLAYER OF THE WEEK 🔴⚫

The 2016 boys were out on saturday against a strong Springfield star side at the falls park.

The boys dug deep in what was a back and forth contest with plenty of goals and chances at either end.

Young James Templeton was our POTW who was his usual self at the back putting in plenty of goal saving tackles and was brilliantly passing the ball out from the back.

James has always had an eye for a tackle and this proved vital as the star kept coming forward in numbers and the we man was upto the task!

Other notable mentions goes to Brandon mulligan and seany-bo boyle who knocked a few cracking goals in each at the other end.

The boys have been scrapping it out every week since moving up a level and are starting to really find their feet!

Funeral arrangements for Ann Gribben.
Ann’s remains will leave her home 41 Brittons Parade on Saturday 21st January 2023 at 12:30pm for 1pm Requiem Mass in St John the Evangelist Church followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery.

Shop update: we will be opened 8-5 on Thursday and Friday, closed on Saturday and opened Sunday 10am-9pm

As much as she meant to us, we also know how much she meant to our community.
We are saddened to tell you of the passing of Ann Gribben, our greatly loved Mum and Grandmother.
The shop will be closed from 12pm tomorrow for the rest of the day.

Csp 2016s vs Bloomfield

Player of the week this week was Iollan Delaney.

The lads took on a solid Bloomfield team with plenty of end to end action and good football played from both sides from the start.

Iollan has been deadly out the right hand side as he gets better every week and bagged himself 3 goals ⚽️⚽️⚽️ great speed and quality finishing as we see every weekend with iollan.

The rest of the lads were all excellent with Sean Boyle getting an early goal to set tone tone also Cisco Mal Brandon and Rossa all putting in a great shift to hold on for a clean sheet.

Player of the week in last week getting his well earned party, let’s see who wins this week!🏆⚽️

2016s had a tight game with St Malachys at solitude on saturday morning . Lots of goals from both sides in an end to end game. Lads fought brilliantly and were at it from the first whistle.

Player of the week award went to Rossa who was solid in the middle of the pitch with plenty of turns and tackles and along with James Templeton cleaned up everything that came there way. 16s are playing some very impressive football at the minute all the lads coming along leaps and bounds.
