This is a one-year contract within North Down, Ards and South Down and includes the refurbishment of 22 properties.

Our Social Housing division are delighted to announce that we have secured a new contract with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for External Cyclical Maintenance. This 2-year contract is located in South and East Belfast and Lisburn Area and is the third contract award from the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in 2024.

Mascott have been awarded the Station Road Portstewart project which will comprises of the construction of 10 new build luxury apartments over four floors.

Demolition of the Iconic York Hotel took place earlier this year with construction works now underway on the site. Works comprise the installation of new retaining walls to the East and West elevations with traditional loadbearing masonry cavity block/brick walls constructed off ground bearing floor slabs.

The external envelope will be a combination of natural stone, brick and render with private balconies to enable residents to enjoy unrivalled views of the Atlantic Ocean. 🌊🏗️

We are pleased to announce that Mascott has been awarded a significant project with transportation giants Manfreight Limited at their new 50,000 Sq ft state-of-the-art temperature control depot utilising the latest technology within the sector.

Included in our delivery packages is a comprehensive turnkey office fit-out. This project will feature a contemporary layout designed to create a modern, innovative, and flexible workspace that fosters creativity and collaboration for the Manfreight team. 🚧👷

After completion & handover of Phase 1, Mascott Construction are ecstatic to announce the award of Both Phase 2 & 3 in partnership with Johnston Houston and our entrusted supply chain to deliver the regeneration project for our esteemed client, Campbell College Belfast. Our Project at Campbell College Belfast is certainly taking shape!

This is part of their wider regeneration "Building for the Future" scheme. The project will see the famous 25-meter pool transform into a state-of-the-art 400m2 gym facility. 🏋️

It won't be long now until completion, this has been a brilliant project for us here at Mascott. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Johnston Houston & TODD Architects Ltd. on the delivery.

Mascott have successfully delivered another project with our repeat customer Pelican Healthcare Ltd with the additional clean production space for their production facility in Cardiff! 🎉🏭

The works included the construction of new jumbo fire-rated partitions, mechanical to electrical works, including new AHUS, ventilation, chillers, and lighting with medical grade suspended ceilings to optimize the space for multiple production areas.

We are delighted to announce our New Build Retail Park project in Clacton-on-Sea has been selected by Considerate Constructors Scheme to receive an Award at The National Site Awards ceremony in April.

The project has also achieved BREEAM - Very Good Status, both acknowledgements are recognition of the high-level standards and quality Mascott Construction continue to uphold across our projects.

To close out National Apprentice week, our very own Katie Helliwell was asked by South Eastern Regional College to be their Construction Apprenticeship Ambassador.

Katie shared a presentation on her experience thus far and future ambitions with potential students who are considering a career within the construction industry, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

We are ecstatic to announce Mascott has ranked in the top 10% across the UK Construction Industry for the Considerate Constructors Scheme with Full marks!

This is a massive achievement for our team in Clacton, with special thanks to Kevin Mcgarry MCIOB, Tech IOSH for overseeing the process.

Following completion of site remediation, the regeneration project is for a single storey steel framed building to accommodate 9 retail units plus a separate drive through food outlet. The building’s structure and fabric are now complete with final ground works now in progress.
The team have worked incredibly hard to achieve this accreditation and acquiring BREEAM status for the over all project. The scheme is made up of core units including;

- 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 ✅
Our teams communicated well with nearby residents ensuring respectful behaviour is observed with measures in place to control nuisance from its activities. Local labour and suppliers have been sourced with the local economic impact tracked. There was also a number of initiatives in support of the local area & good causes including a McMillan coffee morning, old clothes collection, donation of old palisade fencing, timber offcuts to a local animal sanctuary and total of £150.00 to the Community Centre food bank.

Mascott are committing to working towards zero carbon construction and a toolbox talk has been delivered to the workforce on issues of climate change awareness and need for carbon reduction. The local natural environment will be enhanced with a tree planting scheme.

As a company, we have in place modern slavery and ED&I policies and there is e-learning given for site management on these matters. Our training and right to work credentials are checked and we are audited and certified by SSIP. There is also a range of support for mental health & wellbeing issues and promotion of healthy lifestyle companywide.

Mascott recently completed the internal refurbishment of Aldersgate House, a landmark building in Belfast, on behalf of Belfast City Council. The building will become the new flagship home of the Belfast Prayer Centre.

A feature staircase installation creates the centrepiece of the building leading on to spaces across three floors to include various halls, meeting rooms, classrooms, counselling rooms and a library.

There was extensive mechanical and electrical works carried out to bring the building up to current standards including the installation of new energy efficient gas fired boilers, LED lighting and an extensive AV installation throughout the building.

The team were delighted to hand the project over before closing out 2023.
