Meet the Parr Facilities Management Head of Operations in North England, Philip Lomax.

Philip brings a wealth of customer service and customer management experience to the team. His journey into facilities management began with Tameside Local Authority, managing local government buildings and PFI School contracts. As Head of Operations at Parr FM, Philip oversees daily operations, compliance requirements and the management of service contracts in the North of England.

Meet the Parr Facilities Management Regional Director - South, Jason Thomas.

With over 12 years’ experience in the FM industry and additional commercial environments, Jason brings a wealth of experience to the team and knowledge in all aspects of electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance. In his role Jason is responsible for the mobilisation and management of projects and compliance to ensure SLA’s and KPI’s are met. His dedication and ability to build excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors and the wider team, is ensuring a high standard of service across the region. With his leadership, we look forward to expanding our operations further throughout the South of England.

We had an exceptional time attending the IHEEM NI Regional Conference, Exhibition & Gala Dinner 2024 at the Europa Hotel, Belfast. Over the course of two days, Anthony Trimble and Tim Gillen had the opportunity to connect with numerous industry professionals and were inspired by the forward-thinking insights shared by healthcare leaders who are shaping the future of the industry.

The event featured engaging presentations, innovative exhibitions, and invaluable networking opportunities that provided us with fresh perspectives and new ideas to bring back to our practice. We look forward to attending the next regional conference and continuing our collaboration with the vibrant healthcare community.

The Parr FM team is attending the bi-annual IHEEM Northern Ireland Regional Conference, Exhibition & Gala Dinner 2024 at the Europa Hotel, Belfast on the 14th & 15th May.

The Parr FM Director of Healthcare, Anthony Trimble and Business Development manager, Tim Gillen, will be on-site to discuss the work Parr FM has been carrying out within healthcare trusts across the UK.

This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week across the UK.

The theme for this year is focused on those experiencing anxiety, which is one of the most common mental health problems in the UK.

Our team supports positive mental health in the workplace and beyond through our support of local youth sport clubs and initiatives along with Carl Frampton and Steven Ward which are delivered by charities including Tamhi Tackling Awareness of Mental Health Issues , Think Fast Academy, Monkstown Boxing Club and Midland ABC which encourage young people to embrace the powerful role sport has to play in maintaining good mental health.

Congratulations to William Parr, nephew of our MD Steve Parr, on this incredible achievement as he progresses into the finals of the All-Ireland Programming Olympiad (AIPO) this weekend! We're all rooting for you, William!

RSA Success in the All-Ireland Programming Olympiad (AIPO)! 🎉
This competition challenges secondary school students in Ireland to use their mathematics and programming skills to solve problems. 🧮💻
The competition is open to all pupils under 20 on 01 July and consists of two rounds. The preliminary round selects pupiils for the next round, and the top 35 students qualify for the finals, which will take place on 11 March.

We're proud to announce that our very own William Parr, who previosuly had success in the Bebras Computing Challenge and Oxford University Computing Challenge, has placed in the top 35 out of 116 students in the preliminary round! 🏆 He scored an impressive 370 out of 400 and will be competing in the finals this upcoming Saturday.

We wish him the best of luck in round two! 🤞

Congratulations to the Ledley Hall Youth and Boxing Club as they received the Makaton Silver Award for their commitment to inclusion of people with all abilities.

Introducing Chris Shepherd, Contracts Director at Parr FM.

Chris has worked in both contract and senior management positions within the facilities management industry for over 16 years and specialises in statutory compliance obligations - in particular legionella L8 compliance, asbestos risk management, fire risk management and HVAC works. Chris has been responsible for successfully mobilising and delivering planned, reactive and remedial contracts across a multitude of estate types including blue light, public sector, healthcare, retail and the private sectors with contracts ranging from £200k - £1million per annum.

Parr Facilities Management have secured a new contract to provide mechanical & electrical services to the UK’s largest pharmacy and health and beauty retailer.

The 3-year contract will see our team provide planned and reactive maintenance services to over 300 stores throughout Scotland, building on our existing work with this client in North Wales, Midlands and Northwest England and enabling them to continue delivering for customers in over 800 stores across the UK.
