As we look back on World Water Week, it's a great time to reflect on how we can reduce our reliance on processed water and promote sustainable practices.

At Charters, East Grinstead, David, our Head Gardener has implemented a rain collection system using free barrels sourced from Facebook Marketplace. The set up can gather 2,600 litres of rainwater, which the ground maintenance team will use to water hanging baskets and flower beds throughout the year. Additionally, this rainwater can be used for maintenance tasks, minimising the use of mains water.

By repurposing 20-litre recycled fabric conditioner containers from the laundry, the team can also efficiently move water around the grounds. This not only helps in conserving water but also supports our broader commitment to sustainability. We love to hear how our teams are supporting sustainability, great work David.

� Celebrating 10 Years of Moat Park �

On Saturday 24th August , Moat Park in the heart of the Essex countryside marked its 10th anniversary with a day of celebration. From the uplifting sounds of the Bishop's Stortford Ukulele Society and an impressive flame show to local suppliers generously supporting the event with raffle prizes and refreshments. We also took the opportunity to recognise our dedicated staff with well-deserved awards, celebrating their contributions to the Moat Park community. And to top it all off, two residents announced they were getting married, so all in all, much to celebrate!

The purpose built Moat House care home opened at the end of 2011. Beautifully decorated and carefully thought out, it is the perfect place to deliver the very highest standards of care and support to residents. The Moat House has been divided into four suites providing residential care, nursing care, support for those with dementia and intensive care for those needing dementia nursing.

🏆 RVG has been shortlisted for Operator of the Year, for the second year running at the Senior Housing Awards, for our continued commitment to driving positive change, resilience and innovation in the sector.

Yeehaw!! 🤠 Forget Beyonce and her Texas Hold 'Em. At Cedars Village, we had our very own , 'throw your keys in the air!'.

As part of the Spring Holiday celebrations, we had our very own village line dancing troupe, performed, in the conservatory , in front of the assembled residents. The cowboy hats and skinny jeans went down very well!
