So, this happened a couple of weeks ago 👀

I want to share a statement from a lender that mirrors my feelings as to how the year has started.....

"We cut our pricing in Dec following reductions in swaps. This reduced our margin over this period. We lead the way on price in the market and as you know this lead to very high levels of cases. Other lenders chose not to follow suit and reduce their margins.

Over the past week or so, swap rates have been a little volatile and actually increased slightly. The decision has been made to hold our rates as a result.

We think other lenders may have gone too far and could possibly end up having to put their rates up.

So current position is to hold and wait to see what happens in the swap market.

Hope this helps in understanding our position."

Care is needed as rates (like it or loathe it) are at normal levels.
