My new Bonsai trees have arrived from Japan and will be available for sale from Saturday 6th April 8.30am to 5pm and Sunday 7th April 10am to 4pm. Due to quarantine restrictions Junipers, Pines and Chamaecyparis are subject to a minimum of three month inspection but can be reserved with a 50 % deposit until they are released.

Japanese Yew Bonsai. Some preliminary styling today at LVBonsai. It still needs deadwood refinement, Jin whitening and a nice round pot😅

Japanese White Pine Bonsai branch removal. Pine can bleed when removing large branches, so I left a stub and cauterised. After a year it will be completely removed in January when the sap is at its lowest. It is a plumbers mat in the photo so the heat is isolated.

It was good to be back in Japan but not the 40c heat🥵 It was the first time I have seen growing fields being shaded. ☂️ I have lots of great bonsai arriving for next year. 👍

I grafted this Itoigawa Juniper Bonsai on to Tohoku Juniper 5 years ago. All original foliage has been removed. The 2nd and 3rd photo are some of this years grafts on to Sabina and Rigida.

It was good to be back in Japan after two years of restrictions. I have bought lots of goodies for 2023 😁

Satsuki Azalea Bonsai, clients trees purchased at www.lvbonsai.co.uk. In our area the water is hard so I recommend to use ericaceous fertiliser to supplement the water.
