Social media is more prevalent now than ever, which means you need to make sure your marketing and sales strategies are aligned to get the best results you can.

In a recent survey, 90% of executives from over 250 businesses have agreed that social media is quickly becoming the primary means of connecting with new customers. That means aligning your content with your sales strategy is becoming more and more key to success.

So, here are 3 tips for creating a culture of content between sales and social:

#1. Share social insights with your sales department. 🤝
According to Sprout Social, only 33% of marketers use social data to support other departments. Start by sharing insights into your audience and content performance.

#2 Ask your sales team to help with social strategy. 📱
For example, sales will have the best grasp of customer pain points, and you can work on developing content together to answer common questions and target common issues.

#3 Think of sales and marketing as having a symbiotic relationship. 🔁
Your marketing message should align with your sales message, and you should get a feedback loop perfected by focusing on open communication.

Basically, businesses are evolving their view of social media and sales teams. Make sure your marketing team collaborates with sales, and review how they can work together at each stage of the funnel to really succeed.
