Psalm 16:10-11 AMPC
For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. [Acts 13:35.] You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. [Acts 2:25-28, 31.]“
Prayer: Gracious Father, We thank You for leading us, especially when the path seems rough. Though we may not fully comprehend the challenges faced by each member of the congregation, we humbly ask for Your strength to sustain us daily.
When the burdens of life seem too overwhelming, Lord, renew our strength, and guide us in the path of righteousness. Amen.

Psalm 16:6-7 AMPC
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good heritage. I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.“
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You have given us a delightful inheritance. Our portion is secure in You. We praise You for guiding us and for the counsel You provide, even in the night seasons. May we continually seek Your presence, finding joy and assurance in You alone. Amen.
Matthew 24:35
‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.’
- Most things in life are just temporary, but God and His words are eternal.
- We need to remind ourselves that what we are facing will eventually end.
- In the end all we have are the words of God that we can hold on to.
- Find your security in His words and let the eternal be the anchor of your soul.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for giving me something sure that I can hold onto even when I am surrounded by an ever-changing world. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You and on Your promises that will never fail or pass away. Amen.

Psalm 46: 1-6 NIV
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
Prayers: Lord, you are our refuge and our strength. So often we retreat, or we try to push through. Teach us to take refuge in you so that we can continue on the journey. Amen.
James 3: 13-18 NIV
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
Prayers: Lord, may your wisdom dwell in us, take away fear, and give us fruits of mercy, peace, and goodness. In Jesus, Amen.
John 1:29-34 ESV
29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.’ 31 I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.” 32 And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. 33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son[i] of God.”
Prayers: Jesus, Lamb of God, thank you that you came to take away the sins of the world, and for the forgiveness and redemption you offer. Help us to play our parts in calling people away from sins, and towards your kingdom where sin has no place. Amen.
1 Kings 17: 5-6 ESV
5 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan. 6 And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
Prayers: Lord, lead us to restoration and security as you care for us each day. Provide us a place where we can find peace in you. Amen.
We will be hosting an online class this evening - the first in a series on: "Characters of Scripture" at 8 o'clock on Zoom. Sessions will be presented by various teachers over the next twelve weeks. Tonight, John Griffiths will be speaking about Mary Magdalene.
All are welcome. For more details please see our website: http://britishbibleschool.com/news-and-events/online-events

Galatian 1:10 ESV
10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant[b] of Christ.
Prayers: Gracious God, thank you that we can be free from the judgements of other people and the pressure to please everyone, finding our affirmation in you instead. Help us to truly love others, showing the kindness, care and compassion that pleases you. Amen.
2 Samuel 7: 18-22 ESV
18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and said, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far? 19 And yet this was a small thing in your eyes, O Lord GOD. You have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come, and this is instruction for mankind, O Lord GOD! 20 And what more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Lord GOD! 21 Because of your promise, and according to your own heart, you have brought about all this greatness, to make your servant know it. 22 Therefore you are great, O LORD God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
Prayers:In our hearts of thanksgiving and hope, we believe that our God who has brought us this far will never forsake us, we commit our brethren who are having health challenges unto his able hands for divine healing. We use David Edwin, Cody, Martin and Tolu as contact with others who haven’t mentioned theirs wherever they are for He knows all about them. Our God is able. Amen

Hebrews 11:20-22 ESV
By faith Isaac invoked blessings for the future on Jacob and Esau. By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, ‘bowing in worship over the top of his staff.’ By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, made mention of the exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his burial.
Prayer: God who gives good gifts, thank you that you lavish your goodness and kindness on your children. Thank you for all the ways you have blessed us. Help us know that we are part of your gift to the world, and to live out our calling to be a blessing. Amen.
As we say goodbye to 2023, I contemplate the narrative it etched into our lives. Amidst challenges that tested our faith and joyful moments we embraced, I hope we treasure the lessons and release the burdens.
Farewell, 2023! Grateful for the memories, the trials that strengthened us, and the triumphs that fueled our aspirations.
Welcome 2024
In less than 48 hours, the year 2023 will culminate and draw to a close. While some prayers have been answered, others may still bear the weight of a challenging year. Don't lose hope if your prayers haven't materialized; our God is known for miraculous interventions, even in the eleventh hour.
As we bid farewell to 2023, let's embrace the optimism that 2024 brings. Trust in God's ability to perform extraordinary feats beyond our understanding. His wisdom transcends ours, and His ways surpass our understanding.
May God exceed our expectations as we step into the new year, filling it with renewed faith and blessings. Amen.
Today, I'll deviate from our typical morning nugget and offer a reflective piece.
As we stand on the cusp of a new year, it's pivotal to identify endeavors we desire to passionately pursue. In 2023, despite our efforts to embrace spiritual growth, there's room for further progress in the year ahead. Can we strengthen our commitment to God's work? Might we amplify spreading His love through our latitude, fortify our bonds in fellowship, and dedicate ourselves more earnestly to prayer?
Let our hearts be stirred towards God's business – to share His love, to commune with fellow believers in unity, and to deepen our connection with Him through fervent prayer.
Beloved, as we stride into the unknown terrain of another calendar year, may we carry forth a zealous spirit, channeling our energies into activities that align with God's will, embracing His guidance every step of the way. Amen
Heavenly Father, as we approach the end of this year, we're overwhelmed by Your provision and care. Your faithfulness sustained us through every moment, guiding us through challenges and joys. We're grateful for Your unwavering presence. Thank You for blessings received and the ones ahead.
As we welcome 2024, we offer heartfelt thanks. We trust Your plans and praise Your name for Your abundant goodness. In hearts filled with gratitude, we express, "Thank You." Beloved, join me in acknowledging His goodness by saying, "Thank You, Jesus."
good morning
Read Hebrews 4:15-16
Prayers: Gracious and Loving Father, in Your presence, I find strength and courage. Grant me wisdom to navigate life's challenges. Fill my heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. May Your light illuminate my path, guiding me through uncertainties. Help me embrace each day with hope and joy, knowing You're by my side. Let Your love and grace overflow in my life, touching those around me. Help me reflect Your goodness in all I do. May my life be a testament to Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your unwavering presence. In Jesus' name, Amen."
