Happy Days Workshop
Welcome to my craft business, Happy Days Workshop. I produce bespoke pieces of furniture
No market today but it’s definitely not been a rest day - a batch of reindeers prepped and a big batch of phone stands all cut out and just needing to be sanded
Next wkend is busy as hell with 4 shows on, so lots to get done 🤔🤦♂️💤💤💤

Either one or both are well worth a visit today
Late night stint ( after a night on the beers ) getting some serving and chopping boards oiled -
Sometimes as a maker you ignore your own work but there’s several boards in this batch I really like and the temptation to hold at least one of them back is pretty hard - now which one should I keep !!!!! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣
4 1/2 spent on my least favourite part of wood working - Sanding 😢😢 getting 16 boards sorted ready for this wkends events at and Christmas market, I did also manage to get a couple finished with som oil 2c Chocolate stain -
Wood courtesy of the guys -

All set up at - here till 6pm today - loads of great makers, great food and beer !!!!!! What’s not to like
All set up In the Wanderful Priory Gardens in Malvern for the Arts market today - lots of other great makers on display here till 4pm
For anyone interested In the two little videos I’ve just posted and the issue with the bobbin sander stopping bobbing - first up I’d say it’s been a brilliant machine for what it cost and it only keeps happening as I have seriously abused it - it does hrs and hrs of work and it owes me nothing and if it totally packed up tomorrow I’d get another one exactly the same !
The attached pics show the issue - the belt that controls the bobbin movement slips off the cog, probably from wear and tear it has too much play in it -
If you have the same issue do the following
1, unplug it first !!!!! 🤣🤦♂️
2, turn it upside down and take the screws out that hold the black plastic cover in place
3, pull the four wires out the back of the switch unit
4, unscrew the 8 screws that hold the black motor casing to the underside of the worktop ( 4 per side )
5, remove the entire motor assembly and you should immediately be able to see the belt that’s out of place -
6, now for the fiddly bit - the belt that has slipped needs to go over the other separate cog - pics attached of it in the correct position -
6. Replace the motor back into the housing, fixing in place with the 8 screws and then replace the 4 wires into the back of the switch and refit the black cover
7, turn back upright and plug in to check - if nothing happens just make sure the wires are installed correctly into the switch !! 🤣🤣
I’m sure this will happen again in the next wk or two so I’ll make sure to make a short video of the whole process -
Stock production day - batch of shot glass servers done -
