We are taking check ups this started again in January. We are in the process of contacting patients, if you haven't been contacted by email or letter or word of mouth, you can now book in. Please bear in mind we have over 20,000 patients so it takes time to accommodate everyone. We are currently booking late April early may for examinations. We are not in a position to see any new patients at present.
If you book an appointment and show any symtoms please cancel and rearrange this helps keep other patients safe.
Our phone lines are extremely busy so please be mindful of this. Thank you
Happy new year to all our patients!

Early detection is crucial!
We hope everyone is okay and staying safe through lockdown! From The Hollymoor Dental Team 😊🦷
Afternoon all
we are still recieving messages to the page and phone calls to the practice with regards to examinations (check ups).
We are still unable to offer these at present due to continuing advice from above. We are now in the 2nd national lockdown and have been advised to reduce footfall into practice, to help reduce covid numbers. We able to see some severe emergencies as post above, but we have to go through a double triage system first, triage with qualified dental receptionists and then triage by a dentist, the dentist will decide whether to see a patient face to face or issue advice, prescriptions where necessary. We as a practice strictly follow protocols and make decisions based on that.
Please add or recommend friends and family that are patients at hollymoordental to the page this helps us reach as many people as possible
Many thanks
Dear valued patients,
In light of the Government’s announcement regarding a second national lockdown, we would like to reassure patients that we will still be here for you in the coming weeks. Dentistry is healthcare and we have worked hard to put in place all procedures to look after our patients and staff safely in a Covid-secure environment.
We will be available during our normal opening hours throughout November and beyond for your dental emergencies and hygienist appointments.
We will be contacting you prior to your appointments to go through a covid risk assessment and re-enforce our safety measures.
We can re-confirm that we have taken the following measures to ensure that the practice is 'covid secure' for the safety of both our patients and our dental team:
* We pre-screen all patients for COVID-19 symptoms before all appointments
* Staff wear enhanced PPE during all dental treatments
* We continue to use robust infection control and prevention measures to ensure that all contact points, instruments and surgeries are 'deep cleaned' after every patient appointment
* All staff and patients must wear face masks in the communal areas of the practice at all times
* We have installed perspex barrier screens at reception to protect both patients and our dental team
* Card machines, surfaces & communal areas are cleaned & disinfected after each patient leaves the surgery
* Disinfectant hand gel is readily available throughout the practice to ensure everybody's hands are sanitised on entering and leaving the Practice
* Social distancing is strictly maintained in all communal areas of the practice and we have extended our appointment times to ensure we operate a one in one out system.
If you have any questions or concerns about your appointment, please call our reception team on: 0121 453 6162
Finally, please keep safe and well and rest assured that all of our collective efforts will allow us to overcome the challenges that we all currently face due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Hollymoordental
We are at present still unable to book in routine appointments (examinations etc) with our wonderful dentists. They are still available to see patients who are in pain or for any emergency treatments.
Good news our hygienist is back into the swing of things now, she is able to do handscale and polishes for 30-40mins £40 if you are interested in booking with Stracy please contact reception on: 0121 453 6162
Stay safe everyone x
Hi everyone, due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19 and current guidance from the chief dental officer we are still unable to offer routine appointments (check ups etc.)
We are asking patients to contact in November at present to see if this guidance has changed.
We are still able to see face to face patients for dental emergencies ie pain, swelling, broken teeth, lost fillings/crowns and treatments that arise from this.
The surgery is running very differently and patients are organised in priority order.
Our phones are very busy so we apologise if you have contacted the practice and have been unable to get through.
Unfortunately we are unable to see new patients at present.
Thank you for your patience at this difficult time.

😂🤣💕💕
Thank you all so much for your patience in this difficult time. We are still only able to triage and treat emergency appointments at the moment. We are still unable to use our drills and scaling equipment, so fillings, root canal, crowns, chipped teeth are still not able to be completed. We are hoping to be able to start these type of procedures in the next few weeks. We have a list of patients that are in urgent need of these type of treatments, who will be contacted first. When we begin we will only able to see 8 patients per day (for these treatments ) with other emegencies along side, due to guidance from NHS England these restrictions are in place to keep everyone safe.
All routine appointments will hopefully follow as soon as practically possible. My team are working very hard behind the scenes to ensure everything runs as smooth as possible, these are frustrating times I understand, please be kind when calling my team are just following protocols set in place by the powers that be. Thank you again to the wonderful patients we have seen and treated over the last 2 weeks, its so good to see you all, stay safe x
Well I am pleased to say as of Monday 8th June we will be open. Although it is not business as usual we will be open firstly for triage and emergency's only in a phased approach, we are still unable to use our drills or our ultra sonic scaling machine as the risk is too high for you and our staff. Please try to hold off calling to book in examinations as this will be still a long way off. We are still cancelling all routine appointments until at least September but this still may change. Our doors will be locked as no walkin's will be allowed. If you have a dental emergency please call reception who will pass your details to a dentist in the first instance to triage. Our main priorities are our staff and patients we want and need to keep you all safe. We are so happy to be back!!
Hi everyone, so last night dental practices in england found out they will be returning to work at the same time as the general public, with no heads up from our chief dental officer, as you can imagine it came as a bit of a surprise. The extensive ppe we have been told not to order during lockdown, (so our wonderful front line workers can do their jobs and save lives), is now in very limited supply as dental practice's up and down the country are desperately trying to source, there are a multitude of policies and procedures which we are now getting into place as well as new guidelines and staff training, meetings etc. Appointment times will now be extended with extensive cleaning between patients, cleaning procedures per surgery will now take between 20 minutes to an hour depending on procedure.
We are aiming to open up in a few weeks for patients with dental emergencies. Routine dental care and treatments will commence further down the line. Please bear with us, we are doing everything behind the scenes as fast and safely as we can to get to see you as soon as we can.
In the mean time we are still able to offer advice, triage with the dentist and prescriptions where necessary until.we are able to see you in person.
Stay safe everyone, we can't wait to see you x
Practice manager
Great advice! Hope everyone is staying safe👍🏻 we can’t wait to see our patients when all of this is over !
Just a quick update confirming that we are still unable to see ANY patients in surgery. There has been some confusion with NHS 111 telling patients we are still open for emergency care which is untrue. As it stands we are able to offer dental advice over the phone and issue prescriptions for antibiotics where necessary. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and we hope everyone is staying home and most importantly staying safe ❤️
Here at Hollymoor we have been advised by NHS England, that we are now only able to offer emergency triage to our patients by phone, emergencies they have dictated to us are facial swelling, uncontrollable bleeding from any previous extraction, and pain that is unbearable i.e pain that doesn't go away with painkillers and keeps you up at night.
At this present time we have small teams of staff in to answer your calls including a dentist Mon-Fri, any routine appointments for April will be cancelled in the coming days if they have not already. Guidance is changing regularly, we will keep our patients updated.
Stay safe everyone x
Stay safe everyone🤞🏻🦷
❤️
Hollymoor is still open to patients for general check ups, and emergency appointments for existing and new patients. We are unfortunately unable to do fillings or scale & polish we have been advised to limit the use of our drills. Our cross infection control is 2nd to non but please if you or family members have ANY symptoms of corona virus please respect our staff's health and rebook your appointment. Thank you for your patience at this difficult time x
