In the lead up to the world-famous marathon, we supported the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer by:

📰Sharing the inspirational stories of a selection of runners from across the country who took on the marathon challenge to help raise awareness and crucial funds for Children with Cancer UK, which has resulted in great media coverage across key regional titles such as BBC Radio Kent, Worcester Observer and London Post to name a few!

Huge congratulations to all the 1,200 runners that completed the iconic marathon for Children with Cancer UK! Every runner, every step and every pound raised will make a huge difference in helping to support young cancer patients and their families across the UK.

We’re hugely excited to welcome Ely Price back to the Rewired team!

Having previously worked at Rewired until 2022, Ely rejoins us from an in-house role at automotive business LEVC.

As client services director, Ely will lead on service delivery and support our ambitious growth strategy. She joins the existing management team of Grace Coniry, Jasmine Caine and Lauren Hagan to work closely with Rewired’s owners, Ruth Pipkin and Harj Millington, to drive forward the company’s next phase of growth.

✨National Apprenticeship Week ✨

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we are shining a spotlight on our very own apprentice, Skye.

Skye is a Level 3 Content Creator apprentice and has been working to deliver social media support to the Rewired team as well as taking on similar responsibilities to a junior account executive.

Our client recently unveiled a brand-new and exclusively designed staircase by long-term collaborator , completing the major transformation of its iconic flagship store.

Unveiled to the public on Friday 19th January 2024, Matthew Hilton joined Heal’s CEO, Hamish Mansbridge at an official ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

Completing Heal’s ‘trio of staircases’ within the flagship, Hilton’s minimalistic steel and timber-framed addition documents a more modern and industrial feel to the store and joins London’s ‘most photographed staircase’ by Cecil Brewer, installed in 1916, and Sir Edward Maufe’s Lenscrete design which formed part of the store’s extension between 1936-38.

We have been working closely with the Heal’s team on the comms around the flagship store remodelling since 2022, and this installation marks a ‘cherry on the cake’ moment for the brand and their 200-year (and counting!) presence on Tottenham Court Road.

Marking our 6th successful pub opening with our client, the highly anticipated The Prince of Wales pub, nestled on West End Green in Esher, Surrey has officially opened, following four months and £2million worth of extensive renovations.

Creating a considered pub with the guests experience at the forefront of the design, think cosy drinking ‘nooks’, lounge areas and dining spaces, it has really captured the perfect space for socialising with friends and family. Matching the stunning interiors, a carefully curated food and drink offering has also been launched with a range of guests and dining experiences in mind from brunch through to evening supper.

From press and media engagement, influencer marketing, grass-root engagement and events, it has been another exciting and successful launch to support. Now, who’s for a pint?

It was fantastic to support the team at last Saturday, as the charity’s star-studded annual Gala returned to London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel.

We provided the team with on-site event support to help manage the red carpet and media and interview opportunities for celebrities, which included famous faces such as Ambassador for the charity, Olympian Paula Radcliffe, TV personality Vanessa Feltz, journalist and presenter Andrea McLean, interior designer Kelly Hoppen, TV and radio presenter Angellica Bell, and TV personality Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth.

The evening included a live performance from Grammy-award winners, Soul II Soul, and a children’s choir, involving children who have experienced a cancer diagnosis with some of their siblings, who sang a unique rendition of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman with Girls Aloud star, Nicola Roberts.

Each year, the Children with Cancer UK Gala helps to raise vital funds for specialist cancer research and support for families affected by a childhood cancer diagnosis.

☀️ Rewired Summer Highlights ☀️

It’s been a non-stop summer for Rewired HQ! Alongside manifesting some sunshine over here (finally!), the team have been not only enjoying their summer holidays but also smashing it out of the park with the launch of a number of new projects including:

🌻 We kicked off the summer securing widespread coverage across national and regional media for /

🍗 In July, we headed to Northampton for the fourth Popeyes UK opening in the Midlands (but not before the first customer started queuing for the opening at 4am!!)

🥂We launched the beautiful The Cart & Horses in July – marking our fifth successful pub launch for our client

🔥 Birmingham Phoenix’s ‘Fire In Your Belly’ competition was launched in August, crowning Smoke + Ash Pizza as the winners, who served their delicious desi-Neapolitan inspired pizza during the first home game at Edgbaston Stadium

🌈 On the other side of the city, the team supported Birmingham Festival 23 with social media content and management throughout the jam-packed 10 day festival

🖊️ After a new client win, we supported the announcement of Fieldfisher's annual financial results, which reported a 12% revenue increase for its Midlands hub

🎓 We then went back to school to celebrate the successes of Central Saint Michael's Sixth Form and Cadbury Sixth Form College students, who received their A-Level, BTEC and T-Level results, landing coverage on BBC Breakfast News!

Today we said a sad farewell to Lucy, who joined us as an intern for the summer. Over the past couple of months, Lucy has learnt and developed new and existing skills, alongside gaining hands-on industry experience.

We’re wishing Lucy the best of luck for the future and in her studies, as she gets ready to return to BCU for her second year in PR and Media👏🎓

Leading conservation charity has recently welcomed three brand-new arrivals, with the birth of a baby vicuna and emperor tamarin twin baby monkeys.

🙉The emperor tamarin twins were born to mother Mathilda and father Moe, who are both experienced parents with this being their ninth set of offspring.

🦙The baby Vicuna was born to mother Maxine and father Poland, this is Maxine’s tenth offspring, including the new baby.

🧬 Every birth at Twycross Zoo helps the zoo to safeguard incredible species for future generations, many of whom are facing critical threats to their population in the wild.

Today, Popeyes UK has launched a brand-new campaign that gives new drivers in Northampton the chance to enjoy its famous Chicken Sandwiches for free throughout August! 🐔

The Rewired team has loved driving the activation forward with an all-out media relations campaign, which includes a month-long local radio partnership, engagement with local driving schools and, of course, a coverage-driving announcement ✅

The campaign follows the hugely successful opening of Popeyes UK second-ever UK drive-thru in Northampton last month, which we are proud to have secured fantastic coverage for in titles including Northants Life.

It’s been a real privilege to share just a handful of the inspirational stories from team Children with Cancer UK ahead of this Sunday’s TCS London Marathon.

Kai Thomson, 19, from Solihull, was inspired to take on the marathon challenge after he and his twin brother, Ethan, were both diagnosed with leukemia less than one year apart - Ethan was just 19 months old, and Kai was two and a half. They both successfully completed treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Kai said: “Going through cancer treatment with Ethan was tough - not only for me to see the affect the diagnosis had on my brother, but also the impact on my parents.

“Today, I’m so motivated to show my support for Children with Cancer UK and to help raise important funds to support families facing a cancer diagnosis. My advice for other cancer patients is to “focus on the fight, not the fright,” and I hope I can help increase awareness of Children with Cancer UK’s vital work to support young people diagnosed with the disease.”

Huge good luck to Kai, Mike, Kerry, Grace, Jullien, Robin and Warren, and all the other runners who will be pounding the pavements and completing the world-famous 26.2 mile marathon to help raise funds for Children with Cancer UK, the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer.

😋 Coco has lived at the zoo since 1969 and on Sunday 2 April, to mark her 58th birthday, the Twycross Zoo keepers arranged for her to enjoy some of her favourite tasty treats with the rest of the chimpanzee troop

🧬 Since her arrival, Coco has been a vital part of breeding programmes and has six children, 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren
