PCS and five other unions will be in court on 31 January seeking a judicial review of the government’s decision not to reduce members’ pension contributions, as recommended by the Advisory Board in April 2019.

This morning PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka met with Cabinet Office minister Jeremy Quin, hoping to address pay as well as job protection, redundancy payments and pension contributions.
Following the meeting, Mark said: “This meeting was a total farce. Despite being well-trailed by the government as a chance to resolve the crisis, it was nothing of the sort because the minister had nothing to offer."
