There's just under three weeks to go until the new cat microchipping legislation comes into effect 🐱 Here's what you need to know:

🐾 On Monday 10th June, it will become a mandatory requirement for cats to be microchipped before they reach 20 weeks old
🐾 Their contact details must be stored and kept up-to-date in a government-approved pet microchipping database
🐾 Both indoor-only and outdoor cats must be microchipped
🐾 You can expect to pay up to £30 to microchip your cat at the vet, but some animal charities and organisations can help with the cost of microchipping
🐾 It is a simple procedure that is no more painful than getting an injection, and your cat will not be able to feel the microchip once it's inserted
🐾 It is important to have your cat's microchip scanned and checked at least once a year by a vet
🐾 Animal Friends cat customers can add their microchip details onto your policy for safe keeping

Having your cat microchipped can really help you be reunited if your cat is ever lost or stolen, and we're really pleased to see the government taking action to ensure our cats remain safe and protected!

UPDATE the dog found is NOT Red, Red was last seen at 6am this morning on Castle Road by the water tower Oldbury, she is limping.....please please keep an eye out and report any sightings quickly so we can get out there. # #

Harborne area last sighting Bearwood High St 11pm yesterday. One dog has been reunited we now need to find the other.

The rain didn't bother the crew this morning. Rain just wasn't wet enough, so they decided to go for a dip in the reservoir.

Sadly our beautiful boy, Austin passed away in his sleep this morning. Always by my side, there's no where I could hide that he wouldn't find me. RIP sweet pup, we'll miss you.
