Yogis 😀 Next week in classes we explore the 4th Niyama, which is Svadhyaya. This is the study of the self. Through self reflection we get to know ourselves. Forward folding is a physical metaphor for looking inside ourselves - so this is what we'll be focusing on in a slow mindful way. Aswell as slightly longer in meditation.... (which is the perfect tool to use to help us find out what makes us tick). 🧘‍♀️ How well do you really know yourself? We can explore together... Usual days, time & locations ❤️

Hello yoga lovers 🥰🌤️ So we had a tiny sip of summer yesterday! It was lovely too! Just wish it would last longer..... So next week is all about the honouring of that big ball of heat in the sky - the Sun! We'll be exploring various Sun Salutations from different traditions - before it slips through our fingers and disappears into Autumn ☀️. Also , fun fact - the sun is actually a star! This is my last week teaching before I go on holiday so come and join us if you can my friends. Wishing every single one of you a very happy Summer Solstice! 🌞.🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 A special day in the yoga calendar - the longest day of the year - radiant, bright, abundant, transformative energy. So what better way to welcome it in - up before the sun to meet this beautiful human. Traditionally it would be 108 sun salutations, but my wonky knee wouldn't do that right now , so we just did a few then finished with a Solstice meditation. Yogis next week F is for Flow.... Sometimes the body calls for stillness and sometimes it needs movement and fluidity. Next week we embrace the qualities of water as we find our flow. When we work with the water element it can help us feel less stuck and stagnant. Show us that everything in this life is transient. If we resist change life becomes harder, we suffer more. Watery Flow
Hey 🌞 With all this hot weather I've been drawn to water so much this week. From lake swimming, to paddling pools and lots of cool water to hydrate. Which has inspired next week's watery theme. We will explore the wisdom of water and how that can translate into our daily lives. The ability to flow through life with less resistance, to move through change and accept non-permanence. Our bodies are around 60% water after all! 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦 Embracing fluid movement & breath as we flow around our mats. Enjoy the sun safely this weekend everyone & stay hydrated! 😘💦 Cath x Ps. Hello Yogis! Next week we welcome in a new theme - Birds of Yoga 🕊️. Birds can be seen as spiritual creatures that represent freedom and peace. There are many yoga poses named after our feathered friends. We'll be exploring the humble pigeon in our classes next week. There are different ways to approach pigeon pose as demonstrated below 😁. From lying down & seated to the more classical shape. We'll explore them all. **These classes will be great for people who want to work on loosening tight, sticky hips or if you sit down at a desk all day. The sessions will, as always, be inclusive and have something for everyone regardless of flexibility**. Happy Friday! Next week we lovingly complete our S.P.R.I.N.G theme with G for gratitude. It's a big word with a very deep meaning. It can be hard to live in gratitude but our yoga practice can help cultivate it in so many ways. Today I'm grateful for my wonderful friend Fran. She took me wild swimming for the first time. I felt so alive & free. So I want to say thank you to her! ❤️ She's awesome.
