The Feast

Talking Faith. Making Friends. Changing Lives

The Feast work through school-based youth workers to develop trusting relationships with local young people, and then invite them to regular youth events where they can discuss their faith, form friendships and then set about joining forces to make their world a better place. We are working to see young people who are passionate about their faith, and learning to love their neighbour even when real differences exist.

To kick start the Summer holiday, The Feast delivered our annual residential last weekend courtesy of the residential scheme. The theme this year was Kindness. As well as participating in outdoor activities, young people participated in 3 Feast workshops on how to be kind to yourself, to others and to the world. We had great fun thinking about self care, creating a kindness jar and discussing current topics and world affairs that are important to our young people. What an amazing weekend full of fun, friendship and kindness!

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind”

Special thank you to for being so accommodating and professional. We loved our stay with you and look forward to returning! 🤍

We are shocked and saddened by the appalling violence and racist attacks that are happening across our nation. At The Feast our young people brilliantly model what it means to live well together and, through dialogue, make rich and lasting friendships. This summer young people from different faith and belief backgrounds, from Tower Hamlets, Luton and the West Midlands, have shown what the best kind of community looks like. Those people intent on division and hatred would do well to look at how these young people are showing the best way to live well with and celebrate difference.

In Luton, we had our first summer event, which took us to Aquasplash. It was exhausting, but lots of fun.
In our dialogue time, we talked about what good listening looks like: what stops people really listening to one another? Why do people sometimes struggle to listen to someone's point of view without responding (just to listen?) How can we learn to be better listeners?

We are very excited to offer another opportunity to join the growing team at The Feast. This is a great role with an award-winning charity that really makes a difference to young people's lives.
More info on our website. We can't wait to meet the next member of our team!

"These conversations really inspire thoughts for a good few days"
"I learn new things that I then share with my family"
"These conversations are like a therapy where I can speak freely about these issues and how YOU can have an impact".

This is what the young people from our Cataliser group in Luton said.

A fantastic opportunity for schools in the Smethwick area of the West Midlands and beyond! FNC and The Feast have worked together to enable children and young people to access the very popular Smethwick Places of Worship Heritage Trail. An exciting and innovative way to introduce pupils to the rich religious and cultural diversity in their neighbourhood. Come along on 3rd July to find out how your school can be involved. Contact Andrew Smith at [email protected] to book your place.

This is Mark. He's been part of The Feast team for many years and gives so much, particularly in Tower Hamlets. He has bravely put himself forward to do The Feast's Charity Abseil. We know he'll smile all the way down, but his smile will be even broader if you sponsor him! All money raised is going towards our work with young people. Please help us make a difference!
