🎥 Lights, camera, action!

Today, the lovely bunch from UFabrik joined us, for our first day of filming, talking about the importance of sustainability and how their products help us with our sustainability drive for a greener industry, whilst giving our customers the same quality and durability they are used to.

We're looking forward to the video coming out in the next few weeks, featuring our Group Operations Director, Mat Jephcott. Filming continues on Monday with CMYUK LTD 🎉

⚽ It's England v Spain in the Euros final on Sunday, what better excuse to print a 20m banner to show our support!

After a nail biting semi-final performance from England against the Netherlands earlier in the week, we are looking forward to seeing the team bring the same fight and determination to the finals. We will all be watching in anticipation, will you?

💥 June was our most successful month ever!

We have been a part of the signage industry for over 30 years, and have always taken pride in the quality of our materials and solutions and building relationships with customers. Last month shows us the hard work and hours we continuously put in, pays off.

We love showing people what we do and today has been no different. Inspired Thinking Group joined us with their work experience students, to learn about the print process and our sustainability drive.

The two sessions were led by Director, Andy McKenzie and Group Operations Director, Mat Jephcott with an introduction of our business and the print industry, a tour of our production facility and an interactive session choosing pantone colours. We were joined by Jon Hutton from our FESPA UK Association accredited recycling partner, Reconomy, with an interesting and thought-provoking presentation on greenwashing, recycling and sustainability.

It’s been over a year since we introduced our recycling scheme with FESPA UK Association accredited provider, Reconomy. Since turning our back on materials containing PVC in 2021, accelerating our sustainability journey, joining the FESPA Waste Management programme felt like the next natural next step to further enhance our commitment to environmentally friendly alternatives. In the last 12 months we have been working hard to be able to reduce our landfill contribution by 80% and give excess materials a new lease of life, being recycled into other products.

Just a little note to congratulate our friends, Neil and Richard, who 10-days ago reached Everest Base Camp after a gruelling nine day hike, dedicating 10 hours a day to the challenge.

Ronald McDonald House Charities has been our charity of choice for many years and we were delighted to donate £10,000, after Neil and Richard reached the camp at 17,598 ft above sea level.

Ronald McDonald House Charity is a fantastic charity supporting thousands of families each year, to stay by their children's side during time spent in hospital.

Well done to Neil and Richard 👏 we hope you've had chance to relax since you got home.

We have invested time and money into researching, sourcing and testing new products since 2021, when we turned our back on PVC products, repeating this tried and tested method when a new product becomes available.

Hollywood Monster Ltd switched to Kavalan PVC-free materials in 2021 and they have never looked back. Why would they when they can quantify the incredible eco savings they've made?

By going for Kavalan, the company has saved at least 258 metric tonnes CO2 eq. - the equivalent of 467 economy class seats between London and New York.

It is with great sadness we announce, nearly one year on from the acquisition of Sygnet Fabrications, we have made the difficult decision to voluntarily liquidate the business with immediate effect.

Over the last 12 months, we have invested heavily, and significant time and effort have been contributed by everyone involved in an attempt to turn the business around. We have been faced with many challenges during that time and upon reflection, we feel this is the most appropriate action to take.

We will continue to process and manufacture fabricated signage orders from our Hollywood Monster production facility in Birmingham, on behalf of Sygnet Fabrications.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our team at Sygnet Fabrications for their dedication and support and our customers and suppliers for their loyalty over the last year.

Alex Pan joined us just a couple of weeks ago as Commercial Manager and will be focussing on the London market. With over 16 years' experience in sales and managerial roles in the plastic and metal distribution industries, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.

A little bit about Alex...she came over to the UK when she was 16 to study, before going to university, getting a degree in Business. Alex is a Mum to three children, loves to travel and is a qualified aesthetics practitioner.

Sustainability has been at the heart of our business for a long time 💚

The hours we have dedicated to researching, sourcing and testing environmentally-friendly alternative materials over the years, shows our commitment to changing the future of the signage industry.

It all began over 20 years ago, when we were approached with a sustainability-focussed brief, signage powered by solar and wind energy. This was new to us but we loved the idea and we were determined to make it happen and take these ideas forward in our business. Working closely with our trusted suppliers, a few weeks later we were ready to install. Our client was delighted with the final look of this project, and so were we.

This project fired up something inside us, and we are now proud to be leading the way in sustainable signage solutions, that provide the quality and durability our customers are used to. We now have;
💚 replaced all PVC materials to greener alternatives.
💚 introduced environmentally-friendly machines using 70% less energy.
💚 continued to offer solar and wind energy solutions.
💚 launched a recycling scheme with FESPA accredited provider, Reconomy, reducing landfill contribution by 80%.

We aim to be fully sustainable by 2025.
