We are proud to have worked with the Catering Service at Darlington Memorial Hospital to provide an electronic traceability system that consisted of our Vantage weighing terminals, thermal printers and a wireless scanner that were all backed up by our bespoke Stevens software.

The result is better management of the ingredients they use to produce 17,000 portions of food a week, which helps to guarantee food safety for patients. The Head of Catering at the hospital told the HCA Journal that “like any new system it did take some time to bed in and to change the staff culture from a paper system to an electronic system for food traceability, but a recent external audit highlighted how good the system is”.

Case study: CO2 pack filling system with innovative top filling capability

We worked with Air Liquide’s team in the North West of England to provide a system that would fill empty gas cylinders but also top-fill those that were half-empty. Our team custom programmed an indicator that sent signals to trigger the auto-release for filling the cylinders to the necessary capacity.
