Did you know? Blackpool once boasted "The Great Wheel" by the Gigantic Wheel Company, built to rival the iconic Blackpool Tower. Also known as the Big Wheel, it first turned in August 1896 and bid farewell on October 20, 1928, with local school children enjoying a final free ride. 🎡 You might recognize this wheel from the footage we shared this morning from 1903! 🎥
