On the last photo I found this gorgeous shell on Kuta beach, I think it’s part of a mother of pearl shell. 🤔Seriously, I thought it was the best find when I came across this little beauty. ❤️😁

This gorgeous cobalt blue piece was gifted to me from my lovely sea glass hunting bestie. 🙏I love this colour. 💙. Due to the irregular shape, it wasn’t easy for me to set I can tell you 😅.

Most cobalt blue sea glass does indeed come from vintage bottles and jars… and it has most likely been tumbled anywhere from 50 to 100 years. 💙We just don’t make much blue glass anymore, now that plastics have taken over.

Many medicines and even poisons were bottled in cobalt blue glass. The magical like quality of blue glass is why it was used for medicine and why you still get that thrill finding one.

The colour has been used in the past for everything from the finger bowls of the royals to a farmer’s bottle of arsenic. It is a stand out colour that makes an immediate impression. It is bold, not shy, and guaranteed to attract attention.

To treasure or not to treasure?

For me it’s most certainly a treasure, sea gold, and so very pleasing on the eye. If I am on holiday near a beach there is nothing more relaxing to me than having a stroll along in search of beach gold. Forgetting everything in the search of your treasure. Each and every piece so unique with its own flaws and frostiness… Pebbles too 🤍

Delivered to us in a variety of quirky shapes its journey and origin often a mystery 🤍🐚

This gorgeous piece of sea glass could possibly have been tumbled in the sea for anywhere up to 50 years 🌊In some cases even up to 100 years! It has a fabulous tumbled texture and the colour of this piece is so striking.

I just love the raw organic look of sea glass and the pop of colour it gives alongside this little silver shell 🤍

The pure silver dangles are a simple but a sweet beach vibe statement 🐚🤍🐚🤍
