South Shore Pitstop Cafe

So today around lunchtime an incident took place at the cafe.
A lad came in to use the “Pay it Forward” board and as there was nothing on it, went outside and put his fist through one of our tables in front of a busy cafe including children.
He was caught and subsequently arrested.

We want to make it clear that the person in question (who has been in before) has been barred from the cafe and from using the board.
This behaviour will NOT be tolerated nor will abuse to staff on any level.

The “Pay it Forward” board relies heavily on donations from our customers and local businesses alike and of late they seem to be going quicker than we are getting them.
There are going to be times where nothing is on the board and if that is the case we will happily refer you to another venue or charity doing a similar thing.

We want to apologise to all customers who were in at the time if we didn’t manage to do so at the time.
But….. we would like to say a MASSIVE Thank You to those who helped catch the lad to get him arrested and an even BIGGER Thank You to the group who were in whilst it happened.
They were just as shaken up as we were but on leaving made a kind donation to the board.
Needless to say Sarah was in tears whilst giving her statement to the police.

We really do have the best customers ❤️

Just a quick message to say a massive thank you to all of those who supported us over the last few days. It really has meant a lot ❤️
We are very much open this weekend for the air show with late night opening tonight.

Although no trouble is to be expected in South Shore we ask everyone to be extra vigilant.
Wednesday was definitely an eye opener but as known to locals, the target building had nothing to do with immigration and this clearly came out.
Any trouble this weekend is expected in the town centre / North pier area so if you can please avoid.

There is lots to do in south shore including us so please pop over this side and say “hello”.

Once again thank you for your support it does mean the world to us and the team.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of people ask about Gluten Free products.
We do have a “Gluten Free” menu and are frequently trying new things out to add to it.

Please feel free to ask a member of staff for more details and you never know they may surprise you with an alternative that isn’t on the menu below.

Following on from our earlier post and speaking to fellow businesses we have decided to close tomorrow Wednesday 7th August.
All businesses are united in keeping customers and staff safe.
As you can imagine this is decision not taken lightly as we are in peak season but we do not want any of our vulnerable customers or tourists in any form of crossfire that may occur tomorrow.

Well what can we say.
No words even pass to explain how we feel right now in regards to the current situation with the riots across the UK.
As a community cafe we DO NOT condone acts of violence towards anyone.
However, today we have been informed that riots are to be taking place in the vicinity of the cafe tomorrow (3pm) and over the weekend.

Whilst, we will be open we want to advise that we may close at a moments notice for the safety of Staff and customers alike.
That being said, anyone visiting Blackpool this weekend may wish to avoid the Waterloo Road / Lytham Road area.

We will keep you posted as we get it.

We are also expecting to have a busy weekend due to the airshow this weekend.

1 year has nearly passed and what a year it has been.
