Now is my chance to break free
From the binds that held me so tight.
Forever you will be loved,
But now the time is not right.

Go find your happiness, live your dream;

But I must let go of this burden

The ego makes such presumptions,
It can create such a story of pain,
But no longer do I feel the need
To reassure, plead, beg, explain.

The connection we have is so special,
But in this 3D world it's a bind.

But not held to my physical mind.

But the journey is mine alone.

I have chosen this level where ego dictates

I have endless belief in human beings.

When I see that a vast majority of people are: depressed, anxious, + addicted (to substances, to other people, to avoidance, + to various forms of escapism)ā€”I see a society that functions + normalizes things that create emotionally unhealthy adults. My belief is that these disorders are actually peopleā€™s healthy response to unsafe or dysfunctional environments. Rather than normalizing sickness, we need to have conversations about changing the way we function as a society. People are unwell for a REASON.

SOME THINGS THAT ARE ā€œNORMALā€ THINGS THAT ARE DYSFUNCTIONAL:

1. Doing jobs we hate at companies that: violate boundaries, pay terribly, discard employees or leave them feeling not valued or replaceable.

2. Placing pressure on children starting at young ages to perform + achieve academically in subjects they have little or no passion for.

3. Modeling love as: abuse, betrayal, enabling or caretaking.

4. Polarizing (black + white thinking) used on both sides to create collective fear to promote political agendas.

5. Downplaying the *vastly important* role of parenting + mothering (as well as not providing the emotional support parents need to raise healthy children)

6. Survival mode as an acceptable way of living

7. Disconnection from nature + healthy food sources.

8. Family messaging that relies on guilt, manipulation, or fear to keep family members controlled or in line that is labeled as ā€œcultural.ā€

9. Alcohol used as a way to cope, unwind, relax, celebrate every function.

10. Conditioning girls to be kind + polite (fawn response) while conditioning boys to be strong + manly (emotional suppression)

11. A lack of meaning or purposeā€” conditioning human to be production machines. Stripping humans of their creative nature.

12. Lack of community, connection, being of service.

13. Chronic loneliness + isolation

14. Urgency culture: expecting everyone to be available 24/7

15. Promoting secrecy or denial as a way to deal with issues within families in the name of ā€œmoving on from the pastā€

Walking Meditation
A walking meditation is simply an exercise in awareness. There are four components:
Become aware of your breathing
Notice your surroundings
Be attentive to your body's movement
Take some time to reflect on your experience when you return home.

To practice walking brings awareness to walking wherever you find yourself. Take notice of your breathing. Are you taking short, shallow breaths without even knowing it? If so, take several deep breaths and centre yourself in your body and in the present moment. Appreciate the wonderful body you have and the blessing of being able to walk.

Notice your surroundings. What season is it? Take a few minutes to listen to the noises around you. Feel the wind, sun, fog, rain or snow on your face. Look at the people, animals, birds, sky, trees, and buildings around you. Breathe in and out and realise that you are an integral part of the environment.

Pay attention to your body. Are you holding tension in your shoulders, neck, solar plexus, lower back, or legs? Breath into any areas where you are feeling tension and let it drain into the Earth. Next, pay attention to your posture. Are you standing straight and tall or slouching? Walk in a way that is comfortable for you with your body loose and uplifted. Walk with dignity and confidence, one foot in front of the other and pay attention to the experience of movement.

You can walk mindfully anywhere, along a sidewalk, walking your dog, in the mall, along the hallways at work. You simply remind yourself to be in this moment, taking each step as it comes. Some people find it helpful to repeat a mantra (mantras are sacred words repeated in order to bring focus to your mind). You can also use a variation on the walking mantra by counting your breaths. Walk more slowly than you usually do and count how many steps it takes for your intake of breath and how many steps for your exhale. In this type of meditation, your attention is focused on both your steps and your breathing bringing together a wonderful balance of peacefulness and awareness.

Take some time to reflect on your experience when you return home. Five or ten minutes brings closure to your walk and provides an opportunity to make the transition from this place of peace to ordinary day-to-day activities.

You are invited to join a Circle of Sisters, we will gather together in a safe, comfortable space for the purpose of sharing our feminine wisdom and supporting each other in our spiritual journeys and self development, just like our ancestors did. We will create the circle together and there will be no hierarchy, and as the circle evolves and grows each member will have a chance to lead it. Every member will be as valued as the next, because we appreciate diversity and embrace our uniqueness. Each month we can discuss themes for the upcoming circles.
The circle ā­•ļø will begin with an opening and intention setting, it will include meditation and we will end by closing the circle and giving thanks šŸ™

So who is interested? Who would like to know more? Iā€™m thinking of Friday morning once a month but feedback is appreciated on this, and maybe a small fee like Ā£1 to pay for things we may need (eg.
