Looking back at a kitchen installed just before the pandemic. Warm wood tones with pure white quartz worktops provides a contemporary space for these keen cooks.

Working closely with our clients we created an elegant kitchen in classic shades of grey. Our design features custom-made inframe cabinets with Shaker doors in Farrow and Ball Light Gray, adorned with chrome furniture. Our expert craftsmen added the perfect finishing touches with intricately detailed traditional cornice, mantle and surface plinths.

The kitchen island provides a stylish centrepiece, perfect for food preparation and dining, with the added benefit of smart storage. We chose premium quartz worktops complemented by porcelain floor tiles for a polished finish.

The distinctive pendant light and window fabrics complete the scheme, creating a beautiful room to cook, share and enjoy with family and friends.

It’s a busy time at the prestigious Coastal Point development, which offers luxury living on the Fylde Coast with a range of stunning apartments. It’s World Baking Day and we can’t believe it’s a year since we announced the winner of our baking competition, Liz Walmisley. Indeed, lockdown inspired a new generation of home bakers including Room’s very own star baker, Matilda.

She loves baking her favourite raspberry and white chocolate muffins for the team. A delicious light and spongy texture, packed full of juicy raspberries and creamy white chocolate – a total winner!

For a timeless and elegant design, our client chose Shaker cabinets in a light grey palette with traditional chrome cup and k**b handles. The Caesarstone organic white worktops add a stylish touch, perfectly complemented by Karndean flooring in grey oak.

To complete the scheme, our expert craftsmen designed a bespoke display cabinet over the radiator cover and lined the space underneath the angled stairway to create a utility cupboard concealed with matching doors.

Our client loves her state-of-the-art Neff appliances, perfect for creating a range of culinary delights for her family and friends for many years to come.

At Room we’re not only passionate about kitchens but also the development of our staff as well. Last year Joanna graduated with flying colours with a degree in Kitchen Design from Buckinghamshire New University. Working with industry experts, the three-year course helped Joanna to hone her design skills by translating the theory into practical concepts and ideas.

“The course was fantastic and enabled me to fully understand client needs, design trends and the latest technological developments in the kitchen industry,” explained Joanna. “For my final year project I designed a community hub, incorporating a food bank and café to provide vital support for the local people in Morecambe Bay – a cause very close to my heart.

“I’m now working with our clients, applying my knowledge and skills, to create distinctive designs featuring handcrafted furniture, in both contemporary and traditional styles.”

Did you know it’s British Pie Week? A celebration of the humble yet totally delicious pastry dish and with a huge variety of flavours to choose from, there’s a pie for every occasion.

Our chicken and leek pie is a family favourite. We simply poached the chicken in our Miele Steam oven for the perfect, tender filling with sweet leeks, using the cooking juices to make a creamy white sauce and topping with flaky filo pastry keeps it healthy – pie heaven!

To mark National Real Bread Week, Gail’s been busy in the kitchen baking a regional favourite – Lancashire Cheese Bread. The recipe by Northcote’s Executive Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen champions local produce with Shorrocks Tasty Lancashire Cheese providing a distinctive flavour. Using the Miele MultiSteam oven, our freshly baked loaf has a gorgeous aroma and tastes absolutely delicious!

To mark Australia Day we baked a selection of Anzac biscuits, a traditional and tasty treat introduced during World War One for the Australian and New Zealand troops.

Our foolproof recipe uses a few store-cupboard staples combined with oats, coconut and gorgeous golden syrup. Baked to perfection in our Miele oven and totally moreish, our golden-brown biscuits were crisp on the outside and deliciously chewy in the middle.
