⚠️ A Pink Salmon has been caught on the Spey.

Today, an angler caught a male pink salmon at Macallan, a rare event given it's an even year! This salmon has been removed by our biologists for storage and testing. After speaking with other boards, we think this might be the first recorded capture in Scotland this year.

Several other sightings have been reported, so we're issuing an alert to all anglers.

If you catch a pink salmon, please follow these steps:

1. Dispatch and retain the fish.
2. Report the Pink Salmon to the Spey Fishery Board.
3. Use the FMS Pink Salmon app/website to report your catch: https://fms.scot/pink-salmon-in-scotland/
