Last Friday we had the privilege of holding space for another sellout GNI …..a collaboration of skills from Kirstie and Kerry a perfect blend of beauty, yoga, massage and reiki. As a full moon was upon us the evening concluded with 🌕 full moon ceremony….and Prosecco of course 🥂. Thank you to all that spent their Friday evening with us and for your testimonials which we enjoyed reading and will share (anonymously) soon 🙏🏼❤️Next date is on September, exact date TBC
Where do I begin… yesterday the plan was to walk a 20+ mile route of the SDW! We had it all planned then realised last minute it was FOS so it would take an age to travel to and from the start point. So instead, I looked at and came up with a 10 mile route just following footpaths from my back door. No car required. This took us to Bracklesham Bay via Sidlesham and RSPB Medmery Nature Reserve….then back for a full 20 miles. A few wrong turns increased this to at least 21 miles.
21 miles on the flat is HARD!!!! Give us undulating hills any day!!
The problem with following footpaths is that some are really not well trodden at all. Some so well hidden they were non existent, some were awash with nettles/brambles and such like. And some were just fields and fields of corn! On the way out we navigated our way around a few no-goes but on the way back we just strode on through to the peril of our poor shredded legs!
We were hoping to have a cuppa / coffee stop and first sock change in Sidlesham at The Crab & Lobster but alas they didn’t it open till 12. So our first sock change was with our first wild wee in a field 🤷🏻♀️ Onward we strode, the sun on our backs, over styles, through gates, many fields, around the beautiful reserve until we met the welcome breeze off the sea. Off came the shoes as we walked along the sea edge cooling off our toes! Bliss!
A well planned 10 mile led us to Billy’s at Bracklesham where we stopped for a well earned brew / coffee and lunch. And then all the way back, the sun got hotter and as delirium set in, we were joined by many of Kirsties imaginary friends from all over the world.
Loved this walk, challenging in a different way but will be glad to get back to the hills!
What day is it….WALKING WEDNESDAY!!! Today after yoga and being naptrapped by my beautiful granddaughter I was a bit tired and less sparkley than usual so we did another simple walk through Slindon woods, around the park, through the village to the cafe!! Then back. There’s something about Slindon Woods that makes me feel a little off..a little anxious..so I’ve now an urge to know it as well as we do Eartham and Goodwood, so need to take some time explore it! We stuck pretty much to a path we thought was a new path only to find we have in fact ventured much of it already! Feeling adventurous & brave we did wander off into the trees and found pastures new and some amazing structures. One of which I couldn’t resist crawling into. Of course stood no chance being a 6 ft giant of the tall, long legged variety. Beautifully crafted specimen that one 🥰
I love being deep in the woods, surrounded by trees….the quiet, the isolation, the sound of crunching branches and leaves underfoot, there’s something very satisfying and calming to the soul 💫
The weather did not hold…at one point we forgot it was July as we were forced to shelter under the trees out of the rain….seriously ☔️ So glad I wore shorts…not short shorts mind 😃IYKYK
Luckily there wasn’t too many other people around other than sheep to listen to us practice a few songs for choir 😬 …poor sheep 😂
Less path more woods next time!!! Love Wednesday….even tired weary ones!!
We have 1 space left on our next GNI on 19th July

This is Simon a 1-1 client of mine. I’ve been seeing him
on a regular basis for 18 months or so. He’s 57 this year…but age is just a number. We’ve had to navigate a few occupational ailments over that time but he always rises to the challenge I set him. EVERY DARN TIME. He now flows into crow and crane with ease…chatarangas like a boss…along with many other advanced postures. It’s not all asana…we start slow and mindfully with breathwork and a check in, slow somatic movement moving into a stronger practice. Always completing practice with savasana and reiki.
Tonight we were focusing on Dhanurasana (bow) and Natarajasana (Dancer Pose ) so lots of front opening postures. So fully prepped I invited him to work towards upward bow (Urdhva Dhanurasana) and once again he blew me away, going way beyond my expectations….not just with his ability but willingness to play, explore and try…always mindfully of course!

It’s coming to the season where classes are smaller as people go away on holiday, on adventures or looking after children / grandchildren. After 7 years I’ve become accustomed to the ebb and flow of class numbers over the year, the highs in autumn / winter to the lows in Spring Summer. Every year I intend to take a few weeks off during high season…and every year so far I’ve forgotten 😅
This is the perfect opportunity for those who are new to yoga, or just want to try it to come along to class whilst it’s a tad quieter. It also means I have more availability for 1-1 yoga and in the treatment room for massage / reiki / hot stones etc.
Monday mornings at 09:30 am is gentle yoga at Willowhale…the perfect way to start the week !

Today we did a 7 mile circuit around Queen Elizabeth County Park, taking on parts of the South Downs Way, and another 3 up, around and down Butser Hill. The woodland was beautiful but we weren’t able to wander too far into the woods because of the busy bike trails. But there were hills, there was beautiful sun, there was rain, there were lots of people (meh). We did find the odd treasure when we found ourselves in a wooded area with huge magnificent trees, making 6ft Kirstie look teeny tiny…she did later show off her prowess by swinging Thors Hammer 🔨 😂
Up Butser Hill the cows decided we were interesting so crowded around us…then one took a particular liking for Kirstie, licking her then head butting her (not hard, more affectionate) so we scarpered. The view from the top would have been fantastic had the sun remained shining but it was not to be, so we ran and sang all the way back down in the rain. BUT the biggest win today was Kirstie being able to drive down the A27, a road that she’s feared for the last 20 years & not having a panic attack…she did not tell me until we were off it….though we did get a bit lost and enjoyed a tour around a new build housing estate 😂 I’m so fu***ng proud of her…and the fact it has just opened uo a whole new world to explore….ooh where shall we go next!!
When you the right people in your life it’s epic what you can achieve…so find your tribe and love them hard!!!
What’s your motivation for doing yoga? What do you enjoy most when you step on that mat? What kind of yoga do you prefer?
I LOVE movement..yoga and strength training are my consistent go to’s…..a perfect combination I feel. However, in this chaotic world, yoga, for me personally, has become more about the stillness, the quiet and the connection it creates. Connection with myself, with nature and with my community of yogi’s and clients. Don’t get me wrong I love a strong practice…I love teaching a strong practice, but for me a gentle class feels sublime for my mind and body, it’s like slipping into a warm comforting bath! Not that I can totally remember what a bath feels like 😭…though exciting news… bathrooms have now been ordered 🙌🏼🙌🏼❤️….including a bath!
Just a reminder there are NO classes are either bank holiday Mondays because I’ve done something extraordinary and given myself the days off!!
Have a wonderful weekend all ❤️

The most beautiful walk yesterday with West Stoke to Kingley Vale circular. We did exact same walk around a year ago around the time my daughter told us she was pregnant..how time flies. Of course we had rain as per but it was slightly less muddy in parts. The landscape this time of year is pretty outstanding, walking under a canopy of barren Yew Trees to the breathtaking views at the top of KV, the intense yellow of fields of rapeseed to the carpet of blue bells at Ashling Woods. We also stopped for a much needed pause in a beautiful woods just off the track, just to sit amongst the trees and listen to the sounds, the quiet..peace! We were joined unceremoniously by our many tour guides in various tongue…gets funnier every week…❤️
🙏🏼
Lovely catch up with ole school BFF of 40 years!!! Parties, holidays, weddings, christenings and lots of memories in between. We don’t get to see or speak to each other that often but always feels exactly the same when we do ❤️
A Wednesday with a difference…. No walking but still connecting with the earth, or rather digging around in it getting very muddy with my sidekick Mission removing the hedge continues…really thought this m*ther got the best of us….more of a tree stump then hedge, the base and roots were massive and glued in steadfast with sticky clay earth. BUT we persevered, kept digging until eventually she succumb. Took us about 2 hours. Tried to make a time lapse but phone ran out of juice!! Wearing my a top that takes me back to my Fit&Flow yoga days 😀 Still lots to do…but small steps otherwise the whole project feels completely overwhelming 😭🙌🏼
Completed my day with a beautiful Wednesday evening class with just the glow of candles around the room and alter 🕯️🕯️🕯️
