Damp-Out Ltd
Damp proofing and remedial works
A bit of a change for us instead of the usual damp work tidying up this under stairs space
A small job we looked at for a customer that we've done 2 other jobs for, rear interior wall showing signs of moisture ingress, after investigating we found the source of the issue, flashing for the garage that's joined onto the back slightly come away from the wall, water then running behind into a small hole and entering the building.
A small job we've taken a look at for a previous customer, blown plaster on an interior partition, defective sealant around patio doors, a couple of small cracks in the brickwork outside, and a slight bit of bridging on the floor/ wall junction.
A new job started yesterday for a local council, full ground floor hack off , concrete floor broken out, then dug down to install 100mm kingspan, ready for concreting
Finishing touches on another job from a local council, new insulated concrete floor, full ground floor hack off to loose plaster, full D.P.C , dryline and skim, finished off with a layer of floor smoothing compound
A new job we started yesterday, concrete floor broke out yesterday, today dig down , Install 100mm Insulation, hack off walls floor to ceiling, install chemical dpc and membrane ready for concreting at the end of the day today
A new job started for a local council today as part of damp works, as you can see on these pictures a distinct 'salt band' a tell tale sign of rising damp, on this one we have hacked off plaster affected by salts, drilled and Injected a chemical damp course, sealed the floor/ wall joint with a slurry to stop any wicking of moisture from the floor when skirting boards applied, and then membranes the walls ready for drylining, this comes as a complete system and if any steps are missed the salts would leach back through to the finished surface and damp will present itself again
Finishing touches on another previous social housing property as part of planned improvement works, old concrete floor broken out, dug out, 100mm kingspan laid and new concrete floor to top off, full hack off , chemical dpc fitted along with membrane, dry lined and skimmed, and a layer of self levelling compound just to finish off
A new job we started yesterday, flooding from upstairs caused this ground floor flat to be full saturated with water, it's been left for a while and this is the result, awful one to work in the mould and dampness clings to everything
Progress on an ongoing job for a local council that suffered a leak from upstairs, they contacted us to provide a solution that ensured the quickest turnaround time for the property to be re- let, after stripping back, and drying out rapidly for 2 and a half weeks , we've lined the walls with a slimline membrane, ready for the dry lining and skimming to commence, we have specified that adequate ventilation be fitted to deal with any ongoing humidity and to aid further drying out, given that this would of taken 1 month per 1inch of brickwork minimum to dry out in ideal conditions , this would of taken anywhere from 4 months upwards to be ready for any kind of remedial work
The start of a new job that's been inspected and carried out by us, it had a massive leak from the water tank upstairs, walls and timbers totally saturated with moisture, we've removed the sand/cement render and old plaster to walls, opened up the ceilings and Installed systems to rapidly dry the structures out, you can see on some of the timbers the white strands the beginning of wet rot , this will continue to spread until the moisture content of the timber is at around 17%
Final step of one of our previous jobs, this one had a full hack off on ground floor, full dpc, concrete floor removed and renewed with 100mm kingspan insulation, dry lined and skimmed, last step floor screed ready for painting and handover
Latest inspection of a house that's suffering from damp and mould problems, a few potential issues that we've spotted that can be easily fixed with the procedures carried out by us, a few changes can easily rectify this problem, don't suffer with damp and mould contact us and we can help
One of today's jobs, replacement of part of a water damaged ceiling in a former church , all boarded ready to be skimmed
Lovely bit of work 🙄 cheap never works out cheap in the end, that's going to cost a lot more to remove and do properly than this poor attempt, it's never advisable to go with the cheapest quote
Another job started yesterday, old cracked concrete floor broken out and removed, levels being taken down to accommodate kingspan insulation, full hack off downstairs to be completed along with dry lining, and plastering, and ceilings boarded and skimmed
A recent Inspection we've just carried out to a house being renovated to identify potential issues of damp/ penetrating moisture
A job we completed a while ago, full new concrete floor insulated with kingspan for thermal efficiency, full hack off back to brick throughout, full damp course installed, dry lined and skimmed, and a layer of self leveller on the floor ready for fresh new carpets to be laid for the new tenant
A new job started today for a local council, damp along the whole of the ground floor just above the tops of the skirting boards, often mis- diagnosed as rising damp, it's actually down to the gypsum plaster touching the floor and absorbing moisture , we've hacked off the affected areas, applied a slurry to the wall/ floor joint, and will finish this in a salt resisting , breathable renovating plaster, we've also applied a plastic membrane to the chimney breasts as historic burning of fuels produced a salt that attracts moisture therefore leaving damp staining
Another one of our jobs from last week for a local council, inspector requested old floor to be removed due to defects and new one be laid with insulation for thermal efficiency
Recent job for an estate agent, from inspection to completion 2 days.
Time was an issue on this one as tenant was moving in, penetrating damp at the front, we decided the best course of action for this job due to time was to membrane the affected areas so decorating can begin without waiting for the areas to dry out, re-pointing and exterior remedial work due to be completed this week, without disruption to the new tenant inside
A small rendering job completed on a newly built downstairs extension
