After extensive engagement with the UK Government and the approval of relevant legislation in the Procurement Bill, the UK Government has clarified that Hikvision's equipment is not banned in the wider public sector, recognizing its role in property protection and public safety.

The government's policy addresses security concerns in specific areas, such as defense and intelligence facilities. It doesn't apply to private individuals, businesses, or other public authorities outside the central government estate.

The UK Government's decision supports Hikvision's product security and integrity. In the UK and Republic of Ireland, Hikvision cameras were found not to pose a security risk.

Hikvision products meet strict security requirements and comply with UK laws and regulations, as well as those in other countries.
