This weekend our Silver DofE group went to the Peak District.

Despite some challenging weather conditions on day two and three, they all managed to navigate from checkpoint to checkpoint and pass their expedition.

Well done boys! Next stop, gold!

It’s September! We all know what that means.

Thank you to all the boys who joined us for our Y7 transition summer school this week. We hope you all had a wonderful time and we look forward to welcoming you back for the start of term next week.

The summer school was a real success, pupils who attended had a chance to take part in a range of activities that helped familiarise them with the school and make new friends.

For anyone who was unable to attend, don’t worry, Wednesday’s induction day is another chance to settle in before the rest of the school returns on Thursday!

September Arrangements

Wednesday 4th September will be an Induction Day for Years 7 and 12 only.

Thursday 5 September all other pupils, entering Years 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 return to school and lessons.

The reason for this is to improve the transition / induction arrangements for pupils new to the school. We believe that this will help Year 7 and 12 pupils to settle into the school more effectively.

We hope you have all had a lovely summer and are ready and refreshed for the new academic year.

Congratulations to Boston Grammar School's students and staff for another year of remarkable GCSE results.

After the recent outstanding performance at A-level, the diligence of students and staff at Boston Grammar School has delivered further success, in terms of impressive GCSE results. Parental support has also been massively important in students' successes and everyone's hard work is greatly appreciated. Students and their teachers have worked conscientiously throughout the last two years, demonstrating determination and perseverance.

All of our students' achievements deserve to be admired and celebrated. What matters most is that they take every opportunity and strive to fulfil their potential, whilst we teach and support them. Students face many pressures and the anxiety caused by examinations should not be overlooked. They should be commended for the way that they have conducted themselves throughout their time at BGS.

There were superb performances from Raja Balben, Aston Beagles, Paul Bullamore, Kristofers Bumeisters, Alfie Doughty, Jack Emery, Kacper Frankowski, Zaid Gatta, Ryan Murray, Mahd Murtaza, Nehan Naeem, Callum Newby, Tudor Obreja, Kaius Rakauskas, Vasanthan Sarvananthan, Syed Shahbaz, Cezar Stamate and Dawid Scymiczek.

Our congratulations go to all students, parents and staff who worked so hard to make these impressive successes possible!

Please do not worry if you are affected by the shortage. Unbranded items are acceptable in the appropriate colour.

Please check our website for the colour of different items.

…and we’re home!

A massive thank you to Mr Anderson for organising!

Thank you to all the staff who gave up their time to help and pretended to laugh at his jokes.

And of course a big thank you to all the boys for being so wonderful. Such a fantastic group to spend 5 days of the holiday with!

Can I sleep now? 😴

French Trip: Day 4 and a bit of 5…

Yesterday the boys had lots of free time in Ypres and then the Bellewaerde Theme Park, so not many photo opportunities, but we made up for it this morning with an epic archery battle at the chateau! 🏹

We’ve just reached Calais on the long journey home. See you all soon (ish).

French Trip: Day 3.

It was a day full of history and taking the time to reflect.

Parents can be very proud of the boys today. Their behaviour in the Tyne Cot Cemetery was exemplary and their respectful approach was commented on by the volunteers there.

One more full day left before it’s time to make the journey home!

The boys laid a wreath at Tyne Cot Cemetery today, in honour of those from the Lincolnshire Regiment who died in the First World War.

French Trip: Day 2

An underground city, free time in the old town of Boulogne, a trip to the beach, an extremely loud sing-a-long on the coach back to base, followed by cheese tasting at the chateau. Day 2 was a busy one! Is it time for bed yet?

Photos from Boston Grammar School's post 22/07/2024

After an extremely early start, the French trip made it across the channel with no delays. The afternoon was spent getting up close and personal with some friendly goats and in the evening the boys got the chance to show off their whisking (and French speaking) skills in a crepe making session at the chateau.

A great first day!
