So I wouldn’t usually share finances, BUT there is one thing I would like to share!! (And no this isn’t a invitation for salespeople to sell me card machines) our card machines suited us last year but as we are taking more and more card payments I will be shopping around anyway.

The weekend just gone, we had around £140 deducted from card fees. Obviously this is relevant to how many sales are through card so this changes daily.

However, yes the weekend was busy for this time of year: but nowhere near as busy as the summer holidays or Easter holidays!!

SO.. thinking of the 6 week summer holiday ALONE. If we was to loose AT LEAST £140 every 2 days, by the end of the 6 weeks that’s £2940 LOST in fees. If it was cash payments: All of the money would have been retained. Would you like to throw away nearly 3 grand? No we don’t either.

That’s the 6 weeks alone so think of what that amounts to throughout the year. We know that not everyone carries cash but please bear in mind we would appreciate cash over card any day.
