🪔 We have been celebrating Diwali throughout the week at Nursery. We have enjoyed making and decorating salt dough Diwa’s, painting and exploring Rangoli patterns and also having their hands painted with traditional Diwali stencils. Bubble wrap fun with the children in Snowdrops & Butterflies today! 🫧🚘🎨 We used our fingers to pop the bubble wrap and we were so excited about the noise it made as we sang “Bubble… bubble…bubble…POP”. An amazing morning with the team from Springbourne Fire & Rescue. The children got to ride in the Fire Engine and then they pretended to put out a fire with the hose. Thank you to @dwfirerescue for arranging and for the team who came down today. Last week in Butterflies and Snowdrops we celebrated world space week. The children enjoyed exploring our foam planets🛸 They used a variety of senses throughout this activity such as sight, touch and smell. We enjoyed squeezing the foam though our fingers and mark making using a selection of utensils. Sensory play stimulates brain connections, which triggers a child’s ability to want to be involved in more complex learning tasks.
