As we continue with our Mindful Months programme, we said goodbye to jubilant July yesterday and today we welcome Amazing August.πΏ
Let's embrace the beauty of summer and explore activities that promote calm, creativity and connection, ensuring every day is filled with wonder and less stress.....β€
Here are a few ideas to celebrate Amazing August.
β Picnic in nature, grab a bag some snacks and sit in a field, by a river or beach whatever takes your fancy.
β Garden Zen: Create a cosy outdoor area with cushions, blankets and fairy lights so the family can chill.
β Outdoor yoga: If you have never tried yoga, give it a go, just start with a few simple stretches, the children really enjoy the yoga sessions, have a Google or YouTube for some ideas then take it outside, a proven mood booster.
β Stargazing: Use your cosy outdoor area and enjoy the night sky with a warm drink of your choice, instant relaxation.
β Nature walk: When doing this focus on the sounds and scents around you.
β Campfire: Safely have a real fire going, toast some marshmallows have a sing song.
β Sunset or Sunrise watching: Find a spot with a good view , focus on the colous and the transition in time.
these activities can help you embrace the hygge philosophy of cosiness, mindfulness and contentment during Amazing August. πΏβ€

This week we are focusing on two very important national weeks.......
πΏ Healthy Eating Week & Men's Mental Health Week: Nourish Your Body, Feed Your Mind π§
This week, we recognize both Healthy Eating Week and Men's Mental Health Week. It's the perfect time to explore how good nutrition can support mental well-being, particularly for men.
πΉ Healthy Eating for a Healthy Mind: The foods we eat play a crucial role in how we feel. A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains can help reduce stress, improve mood, and boost energy levels.
πΉ Breaking the Silence: Mental health is just as important as physical health. It's vital for men to talk about their feelings and seek support when needed. Remember, reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.
πΉ Support Networks for Men:
β’ Andys man club: andysmanclub.co.uk, an amazing su***de prevention charity offering free to attend support groups.
β’ Mens Health Forum: this is a British registered charity, their mission is to improve the health of men and boys.
HeadsUpGuys: A resource for men battling depression, providing practical tips and support.
ManTherapy: Offers mental health resources with a touch of humor, aiming to break down barriers to seeking help.
Movember: Known for their work in menβs health, Movember provides support for mental health, su***de prevention, and more.
Take this week as an opportunity to embrace healthy eating and open conversations about mental health. Together, we can make a difference! π
So, in June, we will be climbing up the outside of the O2! One of our amazing pre-school children, Otis, has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia so we are undertaking a number of extreme challenges (watch this space π) to raise money for his family and their chosen charity, Abby's Heroes. β€οΈ Please donate if you can, we will all be very grateful π
