Being a student can be a rollercoaster of emotions. From balancing assignments to managing finances and relationships, it's easy to feel overwhelmed at times.

This afternoon, our teams at Kortext and Solutionpath Limited from across the world will be marching for mental health with our Step into Spring challenge. We aim to raise £1,500 for Student Minds by walking a minimum of 10,000 steps each. 🚶🚶

Our vision is to make sure every student gets the support they need to thrive academically and socially! 💜

International Women's Day is a global day to honour the countless achievements and contributions of women worldwide. 🌎✨

This year, the theme is to inspire inclusion, and to emphasise diversity. It's about creating environments where women feel valued, respected, and empowered to actively participate and contribute.

Over the last decade there has been a significant shift in the willingness of students to talk about their mental health - the number of UK applicants to UCAS that shared a mental health condition has increased by 450% in this time, yet the report - 'Starting the Conversation: UCAS report in student mental health', shows there is still more work to do to smash the myths and stigma around mental health, and to highlight the support available to students in higher education.

We must normalise the conversation around mental health. No student should be, or fear being, negatively impacted by disclosing a mental health condition.

The more we can be open and communicate this, and help students to feel they have safe spaces and channels to have open dialogue, the less likely students will think they have to hide what they are going through, and that they can find help, guidance and support to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
